Default If Hatton fought Pac Man

I think if these 2 were to ever fight, pac man would pick hatton apart all night long especially with the lack of head movement hatton showed in the lazcano fight.

And hatton would be a bloody mess, look at what pac did to diaz face and we all know how easily hatton cuts up.

To be honest i think if it happenend its a lose lose fight for hatton...

if he wins so what he beat a small guy.

if he loses he will get slated for losing to a small guy.

however i think it would be a massive event and a big money spinner for both but i think its a WIN WIN for Pac

    the penny just dropped...

this would prob lead to a Manny Pac Vs Mayweather if he beat hatton.

never thought of that till i just typed that post above... bring it on it would be a great mesuring stick for that P4P mega fight

Unless Hatton gets jobbed stateside against Paulie i think he will fight Pacquaio and crush him. Hatton is no David Diaz and will be far too strong and bull Manny around the ring.

Remember Diaz is the weakest title holder at 135lbs big difference between D Diaz and R Hatton.

I think it would be highly competitive, but dont discount hatton on this one... Hatton would do what Diaz was not skilled enough to do and thats put his head on Pacs chest and work the body.. hatton has twice the handspeed of Diaz and is alot bigger... This would be a Meha fight and a great event with 2 humble warriors... Cant pick a winner here, I pick against Pac he fools me, afrais to pick pack and then have Ricky maul him to death... Pac may be Welterweight champion one day after all, because if he can keep his speed and power moving up in weight since he does weigh in at the Welterweight limit I'm curious to see how high Pac can climb... Those potential matchups are well worth the $50 dollars

I don't see it as lose lose for Hatton at all Saddo. Only the hardcore boxing fans will care about weight differential, to everybody else Hatton will be facing the worlds number 1 p4p fighter and a champion in 5 weight divisions. hw

They are both the same height, Pacquiao has a slightly longer reach and both have been entering the ring at 140 - 145 lbs in recent fights.

It's no more lose lose for Hatton the Mayweather was for De La Hoya.

If Hatton fought and beat Pacquiao then history would see that as by far his biggest win.

I really want to see this fight, and now I think it's the ONLY fight choice for both men if they want to have a real boxing mega event. The fight would be huge in the UK and the Phillipines and would even attract a big draw in America.

    Great matchup imo.

It's been a while since I've seen Pac as an underdog.

I want him to shock the world again. Bring on Hatton!

(I'm a Hatton fan too, but I gotta root for my countryman).

I think it might take until Hatton before Manny eventually loses a fight again. Hatton to keep him under control.

I for once agree with Bilbo about the public not caring about weight divisions. It is just like the poster we had awhile back saying, "Its just 7 pounds, etc". Ignorant people don't realize that is a huge deal. Hell people I talk to usually asks me how many weight divisions there are, or how big is Floyd, etc. Someone asked me if Floyd was a cruiserweight one time. Now that would be a funny specatacle.

I just posted the following on another thread, and I'm too lazy to retype it:

    Quote:
Let's say for the sake of argument that Pacquiao goes to 140 and fights Hatton next. And let's say for the sake of argument, that Hatton, naturally the bigger man at 140, beats Pacquiao, who may not carry his power too well into 140.

Are Hatton fans going to claim that all of a sudden Hatton should vault back into p4p consideration? That would be grossly unfair to the other fighters who have scratched and clawed their way onto that list.

    IMO, of course.

If Pac fought Hatton he would get destroyed . If he fought Cotto hed get destroyed . If he fought a washed up De La Hoya hed get destroyed .

If he fights losers like Diaz with a busted rib then he can win

    Simple as .

I think a win over Paulie ans Pacquaio puts Hatton back in the top 7 maybe top 5.
