To all PR Cotto fans

Does the fight with Margarito remind you at all of Tito vs Wright? Obviously the styles of the fighters are completely different, but the circumstances to me seem eerily similar. Now that the fight is drawing closer I'm starting to get the same feeling I had before the Tito fight.

Wright had a few losses early in his career that blemished his record similar to Margarito. Only die hards truly had an understanding of the threat Winky posed to Tito, and that's the feeling I get with MC and AM.

I don't mean to alienate the rest of the fans on here it's just most PR fans share the same passion for Cotto that they did or do for Tito.

I don't see any connection at all between Tito-Wright and Cotto-Margarito. Not sure what you are trying to get at here.

All I'm saying is on paper it looks like this should be an easy fight for Cotto. Cotto is 2.6/1 favorite and Tito was also a big favorite against Wright. I'm not comparing the styles of the fighters at all which I mentioned above. Margarito is respected and feared by people in the know including other fighters just like Wright was, but obviously for different reasons/styles. I'll admit that Cotto is probably a lot more hungry than Tito was when he fought WW.

I'm Boricua and I'm just saying this fight gives me the same feeling in the pit of my stomach and has got me nervous as hell. I expect Cotto to win, but I also expected Tito to win against Wright. I guess I take this way too seriously if Cotto loses I probably won't sleep for a week. I live 30 minutes from Tijuana and I'll never hear the end of it.

Hey... I hear what you're saying. I myself am nervous as hell. I've never thought it would be an easy fight, either way. There's advantages on both sides. That's why, win or lose, both fighters can only grow from this.
