    Default slamman

any1 here got experience with the slamman?

i train 5 times a week 3 or 4 in the gym and 1 at home.
but now the boxing section of the gym is closing for 1 and a half month.

i got a speed Ball, heavy bag, skipping rope, weights and plenty of room for shadowboxing and all at home.
but now i see this slamman thing.
trains your reflexes too which i cant really train at home.
but is it any good? is it fast enough to train your reflexes?
does it give you enough resistand when you punch it etc etc

i mean is it worth my 299 euro's?

we used to have one in my gym.
i put my hand through it.
you have to use gloves, cause its made of plastic, and it falls over all the time

the lights break if you hit it too hard.

tyr a bob instead (body opponent bag)

much cooler, or BBE's own one, weve had that one for a while and its immaculate still

alex is correct, I sent mine flying. The lights are ok but you need to flick at the thing rather than punch it.

Its amazing that you like to stir things up, people break bones when they punch, its as simple as, you can get these ones though, that absorb/ take the punch. A simple heavy bag with a drawing of a person works wonders

no doubt softened up by constant use. Since I bought mine I never tried to smash it to pieces.

Ive got a slamman, and ive broke 1 of the lights on it but never put my hand through it! They are pretty good, i always beat the shit out of it and its still in good condition, just broke part of the chin off. I used to knock it over a lot, but i put more sand in and put it near a wall and i havnt done it since.

You dont want the slamman, when i used it, it felt really "unstable" to me.

What you need is a freestanding man, you can put as much water/sand in the barrel as you want so it wont tumble eassilly, and the actual body mold dont break easy ( i've had mine for about 6-7 months and there only damage is a split under the nose )

but then again, you will need to buy another coil because my one pretty much screwed up through all my hooks and the screws just fall out now. But i think its way better then the slam man, its more of a sparring partner if your friend dont want to get beat up on.

i got a speed Ball, heavy bag, skipping rope, weights and plenty of room for shadowboxing at home.
and i think my heavy bag (+/- 75kg or 165 pounds) can do the trick of the free standing man.

but since my gym is closed, live nowhere near any1 with some boxing experience, and my friends all do other sports or are to bussy smoking weed and stuff to go for a few rounds of decent sparring.

i dont really have anything to keep my reflexes up, and will be dropping down a level.
in september the boxing gym re-opens, and leaves me with sumwhat4 weeks to get back to my normal level to fight my first fight, now i am planing to win this fight, but i'm worried i will be spending to mutch time, training the things i lost during this break out of the gym,
