Default Why can't Sakio Bika get a fight?

For the aged members you can see his last outing on the file sharing board. Don't mind that the round lasts about 3min 30 secs the guy was never going to continue for long. But the fight was back in April and nothing since for Sakio.

Before that he had the victory over Jaidon "The Don" Codrington on the contender series around Nov 2007 i think, it was a great fight and a very good win for Sakio. Other than that he has some losses to Bute, Calzaghe and Soliman but all decision losses against top opponents with a number of wins in between each loss.

Is he being ducked? Why cant he get a fight? Anyone know whats going on. The contender was meant to launch his career in the US, but he's gone into hiding it seems. And also why hasn't his name crossed the lips of Mundine? Surely Sakio can now bring enough to the table to make the fight worth it?

I forgot all about him. His fight with Jaidon Codrington was very entertaining. We have to assume that he is being handled by TOC and Jeff Wald. Jeff is sort of guilty of only concentrating on certain fighters while leaving others out to dry, If Bika starts complaining and making noise, he will get more fights, that just seems to be the way things work with TOC.

Well sometime ago he was going to fight Librado Andrade which would of been amazing fight and if he won it would of done wonders for his career but he pulled out of the fight if i remember rightly and since then he has fallen off the map somewhat.

Bika is your a - typical high risk low reward victim.

He's a tough night for any fighter, but any fighter that beats him will not get the credit for beating such a tough guy.

    Am I saying he's underrated?

    Not as such.

I think he's never top flight, but has enough natural grit, resilience and aggression to distinguish the very top fighters from the second tier.
Guys will not fight him without a reason and removed from the title picture noone has reason to fight him.

Cuz he's so goddamn dangerous... You might be a fantastic fighter but Sakio can catch anyone. He's very strong and has good stamina and output. Not a good mix for even the most seasoned opp.

Do you own shares in the contender series?
