I doubt he is broke. He just never wanted to leave in the first place. Pride still makes him believe he can do it in the ring. His heart never left the sport.

This is not good.Love Gatti but he is tumbling down the other side fast and his fighting pride may just get him hurt badly.You can fight all of the so-so wet noses with a undefeated record and he may look good.....?....but what does that get him over time?Another top billing on HBO against a quality capable young gun looking to use his name as a doormat into the big time?He has the right to make a living but.....dammit!!
