Default I See Some Pictures Of Manny Pacquiao Sparring And......

I see him sparring with some 5'10 Jr Middleweight i can't post the link. But Manny Pacquiao was over extending his punches so badly just to reach his opponent he is so wide open for an ODLH left hook, this just confirms to me that Manny Pacquiao will for certain lose to ODLH.

Unless Oscar comes into this fight a completely shot fighter...he has zero excuses for not hurting Pac real badly. This fight is a money making charade...both fighter should be ashamed of themselves for agreeing to it. Pac has so many great match ups at 130 and 135...but he is wanting the payday of his life. Oscar could have fought so many great fighters at 147...but he knows what sells. Both fighters in the past have never been shy about taking on the best fighters available...but this right here is like a bad freak show. But we will all be stupid enough to shell out $60+ and watch it anyways.

Ya, and what about that is wrong?

It's called "prizefighting" for a reason. These guys put their life on the line everytime they step in the ring. Pacquiao has every right to want to make the biggest payday of his life. That is, after all, why these guys fight: to make money. They don't fight just for the fun of it.

If Manny can manage to keep moving around all night and not get caught on the ropes too often (Manny does not have the best chin out there...Not the worst but not the best).....If he goes in and out with quick flurries and not exchange with Oscar he has a chance.....

Looking at the way Forbes marked him up it is possible for Manny to get to him......DLH can not keept the pace and he would get frustrated....

I don't pick Manny to win but if it happened I would not be surprised

    On paper it looks dreadful

Guy 1: Had one fight at Lightweight vs mediocre titlist.

Guy 2: fights at Light Middle former ring champion at the weight.

Hope Paquaio wins so we can see Pac-man vs Hatton.

I know which pictures you are talking about. He's going to overreach to try to land anything.

You know one aspect of Oscar that I often forget these days, but it simply can't be counted out.. And that he's a money hungry businessman, and I absolutely truly with all my heart, believe that it could not be put past him to (quote me on this) "go easy" on Pac to make it a close fight, and warrant a second giant money spinning Manny Oscar fight...

I know it sound stupid,,,, but I've got a big feeling that at the end of this fight, regardless of how it turns out, a LOT of people are going to be pointing out that Oscar clearly did not fight to his potential. Did not let his hands go. Did not take advantage of opportunities, held to much, and could be perceived as going easy on Pac when he could be knocking his block off..

No one may agree, but I am going on record right here with this prediction.... Oscar will be a shadow of anything we believe to be his full potential, either because of his age, or more than likely, because of his mindset being more about business these days than the fighter that he once was...

I know what you mean, pretty much nothing could surprise me in the sport of boxing any more .

I watched Mosley/ODLH 1 last night for the first time in years, and since Oscar is a shadow of what he was then I give Pac a shot, but he's still a heavy underdog as he's way smaller than Shane even. He needs to get in and out fast and not mix it up at all in the first half, just wait for Oscar to tire.

Like Diz says, even if the size difference looks ridicilous on fight night, Oscar will not go nuts to take him out the first round other wise he''ll prove the whole event is a sham (which it is), maybe it's possible for Oscar to drag it out long enough to get himself tired enough so Pac has a chance.

Complete mismatch. This will be a replay of Oscar vs B-Hop. Only this time Oscar is B-Hop. Oscar has the reach, the size, Pacquiao is going to have to dart in and out all night long only problem is he has to do it now to a guy who's 5'10 and isn't that slow. If Oscar hasn't slowed too much he will get a KO.

I have no problems with fighters making as much money as they can...especially in such a brutal and exploitative sport like boxing. BUT, there is a point where a fight enters a circus/joke level. Pac has plenty of money and he can make plenty more fighting guys at his own division. There are certain fighters(and i know ALL fighters want to make money) that almost always take on the best fights available. Pac was certainly one of those fighters and you can even say Oscar was as well. But it gets to a point where you are disrespecting the intelligence of fight fans and the blantant money factor overides everything else. So maybe i am coming from a purists point of view, where i don't need to see ridiculous match ups that reek of just making $$$.

Well I consider myself an intelligent fight fan and I don't feel disrespected at all. While Pacquiao is an underdog, he's a live dog with a legit shot at winning. For example, I give Pac a much better shot against Oscar than I gave Hatton against Floyd.

Is that because of Pac's potential performance, or Oscars? And in the other case, was that because of Hatton's Potential performance or Floyds?

I really gave Hatton an (unintelligent) shot, but if there was anything to lean me towards Floyd, it was that he as the potential to be unstoppable on any given night..

Who knows how Oscar is going to be on the day.. That is the real wildcard. We know what Pac is going to bring to the table, and that is the main thing that makes this fight legit.. Plus Oscar could be anywhere on the scale which add's a small part of legitimacy to this matchup.. I think though, that is a part of why fight fans are unhappy with this fight... Oscar on his A+ game that he has been capable of in the past would beat Pac 10 times out of 10 and I don't think anyone has argument against that... The fact we have to see Oscar competing no where near his former greatness to have this fight be a cracker, means there isn't many ways you can look at it without considering it a B grade matchup..

If you look at it as entertainment though I will enjoy watching these 2 guys face to face in the ring.. But I don't put it up there with a lot of the other less lustrous matchups out there that are all about 2 guys fighting for everything there is to be fought for in boxing... There is so much less substance to this Pac Oscar fight than it takes to get me excited... It could still be enjoyable though.

Theres not alot Manny can do to win this fight.... I don't see him winning this fight by boxing, brawling, running, dancing... I pity the fool that thinks Pac has a punchers chance...
