Default What Next For Billy Dib?

I'm always supporting our fighters, and Billy is someone who I'd love to support. Came from an honest working family, grew up near my high school etc etc, but after the fight with Zolani Marali here in Newcastle I lost some respect for him. He lost that fight and he should have known that. I'm glad though that he lost to Luevano as he was making his way Prince Naseem style and i never liked the prince. In this fight he improved on the Marali fight by keeping his hands up more but obviously lacked the skill to compete with Lueveno. So where to now?

Does GBP still want him? Who should he train with? Lots of questions. I'd love him to do well because he's a real honest guy and i think he's just got ahead of himself. I'd like to see him get back here to Aus and spend at least a year with Johnny Lewis improving his fighting skills, the real ones, he has the speed and foot movement, but lacks in the areas that guys like Johnny Lewis or Angelo Hyder could guide him in. The basics, keeping the hands up, using combos off other combos and using some pressure from speed and fitness. Kerb that silly style. Hope he does well and gets that title back Legitimately.

I'd like him to revert to a more traditional fighters style as well, at the top level the unconventional stuff just does not suit him. He may be able to school lower level boxers, but if he retains the style he can not match it with the best.

Yeah imagine Naz with no power, thats Billy Dib. He really needs to use his speed more and throw more punches. Too much bouncing around doing nothing.

Does anyone really care? That was God awful to watch. He is a dirty fighter though and that counts for something.

That's how I feel about him too! He runs way too much and lunges in throwing one MAYBE two shots. Unless those shots have something behind them, it makes little to no damage.
