I don't think becoming an old man and losing to a peek Ricky Hatton affects your legacy!
You do a commercial and you're off the artistic roll call... forever

One of my all time favorite fighters. A great combination of skill, power, and intelligence...no to mention a class act inside and outside of the ring. His loss to Phillips was a stylistic issue...and to an extent so was his loss to Hatton (though i think his age didn't help in the Ricky fight). Definitely an all time great for me.

Yeh an old 35 year old with less fights than Hatton and only one real war in the ring (Philips) and coming off one of his best career wins (Mitchell) where he looked awesome. Amazing how he became old and shot between fights

His KO win over Zab Judh was the moment that will be shown on the highlight reels of KT.

IMO his best and most spectacular win.

I felt the zab stoppage was terrible imo. Sure, he got up and fell back down.. but thats no reason to call the fight just because he was falling again. It was just so damn funny to watch. I always laugh seeing zab dance.

I agree and plus you gotta take into consideration that Zab won round 1 and was winning round 2 up until the brutal shot.

Same thing with John Ruiz he was clearly beating David Tua up until the brutal KO.

How about Duran he lost the 1st round 10-8 I think the 2nd knockdown was actually a slip. But in round 2 Duran was clearly measuring Hearns up until he got caught. But I think Duran was on his way to something there.

He had fought only 3 rounds in 2 and a half years and Mitchell was shot to bits by Tszyu and never did anything afterwoods. Hatton was always in the box seat in this fight. Injury and age beat Tszyu in the finish.
