Default Enzo Maccarinelli v. Jonathon Banks on 12/06/08

Enzo is taking on a pretty tough opponent after being blown out of the water by David Haye.

Banks is trained by Stewart and is 20-0 with 14 knockouts. He's also Mac's height.

Is he too green to beat Mac? What are people's takes?

I couldn't find much video on Banks, but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8wMZMDaSTU .

people are making to big a deal about the haye fight, there was a lot more going on outside the ring that was kept quiet because no one wanted to make excuses.

Enzo will spark banks out, 4 rounds tops.

Thats his aim at some point. But he would need time to get his weight to that point without rushing it. He walks around at around 185. He could make LHW if he really wanted.

So, what was going on that was out of the public's eye?

To clean out the cruiserweight division, Enzo needs to go through Cunningham or Ademak. I don't see that happening. At least not easily.

Never heard of Banks if I'm honest but it looks like a good fight to get back in the mix for Enzo.

Help me out a little bit and translate "don't tell us he was out on the piss again." You can blame it on my dumb Yankee arse', but I don't know what means.

When Enzo was knocked out earlier in his career, to Brit journeyman Lee Swaby, it was supposedly because he was out drunk (on alcohol) the night before. That's the excuse.

Obviously theres also an EXCUSE for losing to Haye (a fighter CLEARLY much better than him)

Banks was not all that impressive on the Wlad undercard, in fact Rossitto could have easily got the decision. He'll need to improve his stamina to beat Enzo.
Neither of these guys will clean out Cruiser IMO.

He looked like he was on the piss when he got up after being knocked down.

Your Welsh bias is a load of shitt.

Your boy got KNFO by Haye because he is shitt.

But he beats Banks who is merely a contender. Big wow. Fukk Enzo.

I went with Macca by KO...

Banks spends too much time staring at his opponents and watching them go to work. I expect Macca to be explosive fromt he start and get a KO mid rounds.
