The anthems are only showed on PPVs. This was a regular HBO telecast.


And Hatton's fans haven't shown much class during national anthems before, so HBO would have no reason to go out of their way to show them either.

Calzaghe-Hopkins wasn't HBO PPV (i think) and had the anthems.

Your second point is more like it. Earlier in the week Hatton asked his fans (on Brit TV) to not boo the USA anthem. In the end, they obviously thought better than to trust the hooligans (although it didn't look like that many were there anyway.. barring Liam and Noel).

lol that is what Diane told me too I asked what had happend to the Anthems and she said maybe because them Brits would have began booing so they opted not to play them It does not bother me that the brits boo during our anthem I just look at it as the brits having more of this Soccer fan mentality and they just bring that same mentality to boxing, if you follow soccer, then you might understand this a little better booing the other team with all you have is the best thing to happen to that sport because they can get really nasty in so many ways than just booing them fools are fanatical crazy like that.

Same here, we know where the guys are from, I'm sick to death of hearing them. The American NA always getting sung by people trying to make it their own gets annoying.
