Default Does Mosley's EPO use change anything?

Just saw on fightnews and on other websites that WBC is looking into Mosley admitting that he was using doping before the ODLH-rematch in 2003. Fines or a DQ are possible options, it seems.

That got me wondering - does it change anything regarding their legacies? I guess, the case is pretty clear cut, as Mosley has admitted the abuse, but does that taunt his legacy? Does it improve De La Hoya's? What if he does get the win handed to him retrospectively?

My own take on this is probably no, not at all. However, I am a bit torn, as I would most likely take a completely different stance in any other sport than boxing. Go figure.

(Btw - this would give Mosley a 5-fight, 4 year losing streak on his record!)

I think it will taint his legacy... He is a professional and doing things like that is cheating.. What if something wrong happen to Goldie on that fight... Boxers are pro they should act like one... fighters lives are on the line when they step into the squared circle and fight.

This case has been ongoing for years.

Shane initially admitted to affiliations with the company Balco.
This company is famed with steroid users such as Marion Jones....Mosley claimed that he requested supplements that would allow him to gain size and strength, but specifically refused steroids.

He did however, admit to injecting the "supplements" that Balco provided him with and said he himself suspected later they were steroids.

Although I do have a soft spot for my man Shane, I have to say that if they fought at LightweightShane kills ODLH.
The only reasons he had to take these "supplements" was beause DLH was at Welter and wouldn't facilitate a Shane fight at 140, so Shane had to mkae the unnatural jump to 147

IMO, yes. How is it any different to Tim Montgomery or Marion Jones? Their careers were only possible through the use of drugs. It raises the question, what fights would Mosley have lost if he wasn't using? In reality he could be no better a fighter than somebody like Collazo.

I know, but it is news that the WBC is looking into it, I guess.

The fight in question was actually at 154, but I guess that only makes your point stronger. But the fact that Shane might not have needed them at any lower weight, doesnt make it ok, right? If he were not capable of fighting at a higher weight without cheating, he should have just refrained.

Yeah & Oscar knocked out the other guy (that we know of) who was also on roids - Vargas @ 154.

In my eyes I have no respect for him now. Injecting something into your blood stream is not natural and no athlete should do that. Hope he loses and retires against Marg, and joins Oscar. Then only B Hop left.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
