Default Barrera fights for the world title on Jan 31

According to the word coming out of Mexico, Marco Antonio Barrera's upcoming bout against Johnny Nolasco (17-4, 8KOs) will be for the vacant WBO interim-lightweight title. The ten round lightweight contest will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico on January 31.

Don King must be a better promoter than Oscar was. Good to see Barrera back where he belongs as a 4 division world champion

Barrera, what a fighter. He should win this, but Im still not sure about this comeback. Still, only Manny has been able to beat him properly in recent times, and Barrera could have done more in that IMO. The Don King association is a bit creepy, and I really hope it isnt going to last five years.

Why shouldn't MAB carry on ? he isn't like Erik Morales, i thought he boxed quite smart against Manny Pacquiao in the rematch and stole some rounds, he just didn't put enough workrate in. And was outworked down the stretch.

He was very good against JMM and in his comeback he looked decent enough to me aswell. Im not saying i agree with MAB's comeback, but im not saying im against it either. I've been a MAB fan for atleast 10 years or so.

I've watched most of his fights and i always like seeing him fight, and i still feel he has a few good ones left in him. Don't write him off just yet.

it's for an interim title dude doesn't make him a 4 division champion, hell Hector "Macho" Camacho fought for the WBFI and the WBE Jr. Middleweight titles last year, and won by TKO, that make him a current Jr. Middleweight champion?

If it's a title match, why is it not a 12 rounder?

This is what Erik Morales should do on his comeback.
Come back do some warm up fights and then fight Marquez not fight Marquez on his first fight back like he wants.
