Ok I really WANT Barrera to win !
I just think he's a ring legend in my eyes and i h8 to see fights where the old destroyed by the new
Barrera has always been om my fav fighters long list lol
think gotta be barrera for me, legend! khan has pissed me off with his greed with all this PPvV bollocks!
Khan, he's the English bloke so I back him. I like Barrera as much as the next man/Missy but that wont stop me wanting Amir to beat him.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
I like Khan but can't cheer for him over Barrera.. especially not in this situation.
Don't mind if Khan wins though, as long as it's on points. Don't want to see a little fat old Barrera taking a beating.
This fight wont even happen though*
*Bear in mind i'm naturally a pessimistic cunt.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Its got to be Barrera for me. He's always been one of my top fighters, and though Im not sold on this comeback, I have to back him.
He should stop Khan if he is 70% of what he was a couple of years ago.
Brave fight for Khan to take on. He has so many critics and he's a nice kid so I hope he pulls of a shock and beats Barrera.
Barrera is one of my Favourites ever but he is a shell of the beast he was @ 27years old, I think Khans to big, to fast and too much power for Barrera at this late stage of his career. I hope I am wrong as I would love to see Khan loose again but I can't see it, I see a Khan TKO unfortunatly.
If Amir Khan wins this will not be a shocker. How? This is truly old vs young. And slower vs faster and smaller vs bigger and shorter vs taller and etc. Khan really picked a big name and as longshot as he could get. He'll have little problem. Barrera has too many miles on him and Khan knows this. This is a great business move. Khan is talented but he gets no respect for winning this fight. The lower the weight the bigger old age makes a play on being a has been.
I pick Amir to win this one i think marco is defo a spent force and Amir despite the 1minute loss is a terrific fighter. Amir wins this fight boxing on the outside, hit and move, marco never had the legs.
Barrera - He's one of my all time favorites.![]()
Barrera. It's not that I don't like Khan I just hate Warren!
I'd like to see Kahn win back some critics from this one.
Although, I've seen alot of opinions giving Kahn no chance atall on this one i have to disagree. This fight, on the surface, a true legend fighting Kahn, seems a no brainer, that Kahn will not last, but once you get past the idea of a legend and look at the two of them i can't help but think that this is another miss-match. A slower, older, barrera with added weight vs the much bigger, and not only that, much much faster, slicker and more powerful Kahn. I just wish they'd put Kahn in with some true Lightweights, why is it always a blown up Lighweight.
I see this as Barrera fighting to the bitter end like the true warrior that he is and not letting Kahn off lightly, but ultimately Kahn will have too much youth, speed and power.
Sadly, because he's one of my favourites, I see Barrera to retire on his stool before the final round.........
I want to see Barrera being a little more willing to let his hands go than he did against Pac. If he can check Khan's chin there is a good chance he is going down. But what the previous poster said is true, Khan is bigger, has faster handspeed, footwork and the longer reach. Barrera is a canny old pro though, and Khan doesnt have much experience against top level fighters.
If Barrera is willing to take a few risks in the trades, I can't see khan getting the better of him.
But Barrera is getting on, and the Pac fight was disheartening. Barrera won a few rounds there but wouldnt take any risks to try and win the fight. If he isnt going to take risks against Khan then Khan has a chance at getting the decision. Barrera must let the hands go more.
I think people are overblowing how 'shot' Barrera is.
This is a man who pushed J M Marquez all the way jus 3 fights ago and got a knockdown that wasn't credited. That was a very very close fight and the judges got the margin of victory for Marquez way wrong.
Then he went 12 rounds with the best fighter in the world and got an easy 4th round KO in his last fight.
I don't see how losing two decisons against arguably the number 1 and number 2 p4p fighters on the planet makes him 'shot'
Passed his best maybe, but he's still a force to be reckoned with and it would be a HUGE victory for Khan if he pulls it off.
The kid gets so much criticism but he's only 21 and is already facing a legend like Barrera, and so soon after getting brutally KO'd.
You have to admire him, the lad has some balls on him.
