Default Muhammad Ali Was Honored By The NAACP Tonight...

It was great seeing him honored and receive a standing ovation but my heart went out to him. A curtain came up and he was sitting ther in a chair, looking old and trembling badly. His wife standing behing him spoke for him as if he wasnt even in the room " Muhammad would say...My husband would want you to know..."etc. I dont blame her for that as she is his voice now. But he had one of the most influenial voices in history and that has to be hard for him. At one point he positioned his hands at his sides, and you could see it in him that he was making an attempt to stand up. After moving his hands, his body didnt move an inch, but you could just tell that he was making every effort he could as unnoticable as it was. I doubt anyone watching noticed this, but I did. His parkinsons has clearly gotten worse and his body has weakened a lot, but he is tough as ever. His body may be a shell of its former self but he is still the greatest.

    This is great to know.

It's sad to see the state in which Ali is now.
At one point THE most famous man in the planet.
    How special is that...

Horrible to think that what has happened to him, it seems that often those who are the most inspirational to people end up suffering & becoming shells of who they once were. Like you say he is still the greatest.

He was my boxing idol as a kid,the whole reason I spend most of my day either on the phone,or in my gym working on boxing is because I watched Ali.
He will allways be the greatest

It's sad, but he is such a strong guy. Not despairing but always fighting. God bless him.
