Steve Bunce/Max Kellerman is doing my head in

Watching the Setanta coverage of Marquez-Diaz Steve Bunce talks so much shit. He is so biased about British fighters its unbelievable. No british fighters are fighting on this card so talking about them. Hatton and Calzaghe might as well be Joe Louis and Ali, the way he goes on about them. He bigs up British fighters and has digs at other countries boxers until one of them has a phone in and he licks their ass. Remember him speaking to Michael Jennings on the phone before the Cotto fight and Bunce saying "I'll think you'll beat him". What planet are you on ? Apart from Hatton and Calzaghe Britian has no other world class boxers and I include Amir Con and David" I have a glass chin and have never fought a decent fighter in my career"Haye in that so stop making them out to be superstars Bunce.

I switched the broadcast off immediately after the Marquez fight so I didn't have to listen to him but I imagine he was probably telling the viewers that Khan's speed would be a factor in a match against JM Marquez if he gets past Barrera.

And how can he constantly criticise commentators like Max Kellerman who are theheight of professionalism compared to that fat, bald, hyperactive, babbling fool?

In all seriousness he mocks Kellerman all the time but can you even imagine HBO with Steve Bunce on it interviewing the fighters afterwards, it would be embarrassing.

He reminds me of Ricky Gervais for some reason from the Office as when he's interviewing someone he always puts on these annoying sighs and moans in aggreement with whatever the person happens to be saying.

He's the most sycophantic, bum licking interviewer to all of his guests and much of what he says is simply idiotic.

I would almost rather have Don Omega presenting. He talks as much shit as Bunce and has no charisma or personality at all. But no personality is sooooo much better than Bunce's personality.

I dislike him almost as much as I dislike James De Gale.

The reason Bunce is not agressive to his guests is because if they thought they were going to get a grilling every time they went on his show then they would just give it a miss.

its no revelation that many within the boxing circle including us fans completely loathe the guy and everything about him, but its about time something got done about it.

With merchant you know your gonna get cutting edge questions and sometimes certain ones are uncalled for. But this guy cant hold a candle to a man who has a good 30-40 years on him and in all honesty their are probably a whole host of talented young boxing nuts who could get in the ring and do a far better job than this complete clown.

My hatred of the guy started when he told joe calzaghe he wouldnt be able to justify 17 years of dominance unless he fighted contender Chad Dawson but in time with every HBO telecast that this guy presides over my fury has grown and grown to the point i have to turn the volume down to mute just to get away from his annoying and biased calling of a world title fight.

I agree with pretty much all of that, and really WHO can blame him for being scared of Hopkins that time. There are also times where he does actually show that he knows what he's talking about, like the other night where he said he didn't even know whether they shoulda put Khan near MAB, let alone Diaz or Marquez
