I think he is a very good fighter, entertaining to watch and seems like a nice fella . I think he just falls short at world class but I hope he proves me wrong.
He`s no Joe Calzaghe and never will be, but i also dont think he`ll flop stateside like your clinton woods.
True test of Froch will come in April, If he stands up to the test and manages to outwork taylor and take a decision then he indeed has a future at world level.
If however he gets exposed badly by fighting a far superior opponent to what he is used to you may as well just book up your next 5 froch fights at the nottingham arena!!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
Has lots of skills when coming forward and a really solid beard, but his defence is about as bad as it gets and I am 100% sure that IF he ever fights a really top class big puncher he will get sparked.
Taylor fight is very interesting, becuase we know Taylor doesn't like the game and doesn't like a tear up and he's gonna get one! Hard to call!
Fantastic chin.
Everything else about him pretty average. That said wouldnt be surprised if he sparked Taylor.

Yea he is no Joe Calzaghe,
He looks like he can take a good shot, but defense is terrible, left hand is always down around his waist leaving his chin out in the open,
I do think he will beat taylor if he doesnt i dont think any one will be seeing him in the US for a while after.
I don't think Froch has beaten anyone of note yet to prove to me he is truly world class - he's beaten some good fighters but April 25th will give him the opportunity to take it to the next level.
He's no Calzaghe and I currently believe he will go same way as Enzo Maccarinelli and just fall short on the big stage.
Looking forward to it mind....
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
The good thing about Froch, or bad if you like is that he can take a clump so even if he gets beat, its going to be brutal, he's never going to get flattened quickly.

He talks a lot of rubbish, he has balls, he has an A grade chin, he is fan friendly, he has limited defensive skills but counters that with a will to win at any cost, Mr Froch is growing on me, I back him to beat Taylor who could hardly deal with little Kassim Ouma.
I don't know the first thing about this Carl Froch, all I know is that he has a pretty nice following and if it werent for his nut huggers, I would not even know his name![]()

Mr Whittington, when you say "has got the lot", that would suggest he has a top defence along with his other tools, which has to be far from the truth. Although I don't really know if anyone at 168 has the power to ko him, just beat him on points.
I see him as the kind of man that will absolutely go to war before he gets beaten, big, powerful and aggressive with a medium sized dollop of speed to go with it. For me, a true test at 168 isn't Taylor, its Kessler now Calzaghe has gone. I also think that Calzaghe would have ran rings around him to a UD.
I like him, hes far from a boring boxer, he can really hit hard and can take a few too, hes a better boxer than his last performance against Pascal but shows a bit of indiscapline and likes to go into a bit of a war. But then theres a fair few legends of the sport that did that.
I think Taylor is his toughest fight yet, Taylor gets a bad press with his engine being poor and i even hear about his bad chin which a completely disagree with. And i dont care if hes coming from a lesser weight he did Hopkins which saya a hell of alot about him.
This fight will help me decide whether or not hes really worthy of the WBC belt and all the hype he seems to be getting. I think he will prove to be worthy but there is something that niggles me, at times he can look very average and those average moments could be the ones that catch him out when hes facing the big big names in the division.
