Getting sick to death every time manny pacquiao fights, is nearing a fight, gets out of bed etc the main forum just becomes clogged with pacquiao fans talking about their hero.

I love the guys to death and their support for manny is a credit, but is it right we have to accept that 70% of threads on a boxing forum are about 1 fighter?

There are probably more fillipino fight fans on here alone than the rest of the other representing countrys whatsoever and its about time they had their own forum and the boxing board could go back to representing the sport as a whole and not one man!!!!!!!!

Well you can bet on thousands of posts whatever the outcome from that fight.

I myself try to be respectful whenever my fighter wins or loses and for the most part this has been a VERY mild post fight forum considering who was fighting and their respective fan bases.

Sure some people have made fun of the way Ricky got KO'd and a couple of revisionist boxing historians called Ricky out for never being any good but it wasn't the Pacquiao fans doing that for the most part, it was either guys who were fair weather fans or people who never did care for Ricky.

Manny Paquiao just beat the best of the Junior Welterweights in Ricky Hatton and nobody should discount Ricky's skill because he is very talented and discounting what Ricky is at 140 takes away how significant of a victory it was.

I'll repost what I said in another thread:

I think its ok for hardcore PacFanBoys to come up with all these threads about Pac being the greatest ever. It can get annoying sometimes but think about it. When was the last time you heard of a Filipino being under the spotlight as much as Pacquiao or achieve at least half as much? For other countries is normal to have not only one but MANY boxers in different weight divisions as champions and Hall of Famers. Think about Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA, England, etc. So let them be. It may last maybe 2 or 3 more years while Pac is fighting because after that, maybe other Filipino boxers will follow, which is good! More competition to the sport or maybe things will go back to how they were with no asian in the boxing spotlight for many years to come.

I'll put it this way, let's say that Bangladesh beat Brazil and other European teams in the World Cup and suddenly became competitive and dominated the sport, wouldn't Bangladesh have a lot to brag about, be proud, have Bangladesh people talking about their soccer team all day long, etc.? Well, think Pac now. Saddoboxer and hardcore PacFanBoys deserve to enjoy this ride while it lasts. I just shake my head slowly and smile when I see threads like this. It's all good really.

I am glad we have Pac in the sport. He brings excitement, big fights, and all the good stuff. A nice likeable humble guy.
