    Gamboa Vs. Caballero?

The negotiations are well on their way for a bout between the interim WBA featherweight champion, the Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa and the super bantamweight WBA/IBF champion Celestino Caballero of Panama. Gamboa will be defending his title against Caballero.
Rogelio Espiño, the promoter of Caballero, stated recently that the bout is almost official.
“We have been analyzing the offer made to us and it looks very promising for Celestino’s career,” Espiño explained. “The companies Warriors and Showtime are about to finalize the negotations but we can’t announce it as official just yet.”
Espiño mentioned that a possible date might be in August in the United States. Gamboa has a perfect record of 15-0, 13KO while Caballero has a 32-2-2, 22KO ledger.

Hell yeah, gonna be a good one.

Gamboa, needs a stylist though, that hat is horrible.

Gamboa wins easy unless he gets caught in the first couple rounds

No way Gamboa loses, even though it's almost a guarantee he gets knocked down at some point.

I've got Caballero! Gamboa deserves mad respect for taking a fight like this but I think he'll be biting of more than he can chew!

Now we'll get a better idea of where this guy stands, i think cabellero like others would catch him but gettting hit by caballero and these friday night fight guys is a whole different thing. To be safe i'd go with cab. Gamboa still makes too many mistakes (as he probably should he's only got a handful of fights) and as of yet had no real reason to correct them against the guys he's fought. What he'd do after really getting knocked down would be interesting to see though.

I thought Gamboa was still getting caught too easy last time out and spending too much time admiring his own work still. Caballero for a KO win i say.... Should be a good fight though....

Caballero would win. Why?... coz he's a elite fighter, and Gamboa is chinny.

Styles make fights and Gamboa's style (or lack thereof) would compliment Caballero's style (or lack thereof). Great matchup of two guys who take way too many risks. However, if Juan Manuel Lopes gets into this, all bets are off as he would clean the carpet with both IMO.

Tough one, somewhat a big crossroads scrap.Dont know how good gangly Cabs legs are with onrushing Gamboa, but I think Gamboa is very wreckless and a lil spoiled on the quick KO's.I think Cab deals with blitz and beats him down the stretch....or gets KO'd in 2

Yuriorkis Gamboa won 15 (KO 13)

Too early to be world champion, haven't been really tested, did not fought notable names, but a true featherweight.

    Celestino Caballero won 32 (KO 22) + lost 2

Moving up in weights, tried and tested, fought Somsak Sithchatchawal and won WBA crown and also Mauricio Pastrana, Lorenzo Parra.

Demolish Steve Molitor in 4th round, and won the IBF crown.

    Caballero by TKO 8th
