Shane vs Roberto at 135
And it would be esp great if those of you that choose to weigh in would speculate as to how the winner would pull of the victory and what kind of victory.

I find it difficult to pick against Shane unless posed with an ATG.
His speed, power and aggression was at its peak and at that weight he was more physically imposing than nearly any man I've seen.
Not only does he take this win, in my opinion, I also feel its a KO.

I agree

Duran beats anybody at Lightweight. And that includes Mosley. Duran would have no respect for Mosley. Mosley will go in there trying to make him respect him. Which is exactly what Duran would want.
Duran beat better fighters Esteban De Jesus, Buchanan, and was champion for a longer time. He would just about beat Shane on points.

Duran....
one dangerous horrible bloke
Buchanan made MOsley not look invincible but he didn't just about beat Shane, and De Jesus wasn't better htan Mosley. However, I still think Duran wins, Mosley has no skills on the inside, nor is he good enough on the outside. I think Duran takes Mosley through hell for 12-15 rounds.
Mosely being stopped by a lightweight is just hard to imagine esp when he's only been hurt once. never stopped. Seen a lot of duran fights, still stand by my opinion that he is the most overrated fighter of all time...

I agree that Moseley would not have been stopped but Duran really was a beast at lightweight and had a plan for every eventuality that arose. He simply would not be denied.

Very tough one, but I'd go with Duran. Other greats that I would like to have seen fight these two, were Joe Gans, Julio Cesar Chavez, Benny Leonard and Alexis Arguello
Duran. His defense was better than Mosley and he would outsmart and outhustle him down the stretch. A lot of punches by both men in this fight. Duran by close but secure UD over 12 and Duran by not so close UD over 15. Still, Shane would make it very competitive and Duran would have a hard earned victory.

Shane wouldn't get stopped but he would lose. Fighters like Roberto Duran only come along every so often...he could box he could brawl he could punch he had a hell of a chin and his defense on the inside was unbelieveable. His offense looked very wild and crazy but most all of his exchanges were started with a slip or a blocked punch.....watch some of his highlights, he was a GREAT boxer, not just a brawler, but a boxer.
Shane is great and all but he likes space, he CAN fight on the inside but hell Duran beat Ray Leonard up...he didn't just beat him he beat him up! And that was at 147 where Duran was still great but not as great as he was at 135.
