I read on ESPN that Edwin Valero vs Humberto Soto will probably be on the undercard.
I don't remember who started the thread on who would win that fight but at least now we'll get to see if the fight pulls through!

Wow how much more spoiled will we get that night? If only they would have Charlie Zelenoff/Kid Thunder III on the undercard; just for comic relief and to break the tension that night will bring![]()
Jesus talk about extreme violence, Valero/Soto will be an absolute war.
God I hope that goes through.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I am liking the new trend of Superfights actually giving us good competitive fights on the undercard with John/Juarez & now hopefully this. Hope Soto takes him, I met him in Vegas after the Hatton/Pacquiao fight (in a fast-food place, maybe he's on the Trainer Monkey regimen). He was a really cool guy & made me more of a fan then I already was.
With Valero/Soto on Pac/Cotto and John/Juarez on Mayweather/Marquez they're really just trying to compete with each other. I think it's a no brainer, but if they're going to jack up their undercard to make the main event more marketable, it just makes us the winners...
i had heard rumors that Montiel/Morel might be on the undercard of Cotto/Pac as well
It's possible both are Top Rank fighters but Valero is not licensed to fight except in Texas. So unless that changes in Nevada, I don't think we'll see him on the undercard. I also read he was arrested in Valenzuela a drunk driving and fire arms charge. Good thing it wasn't in Texas!
This fight card is titled "Fire Power". Maybe they can use "Fire Works".
This is what we need more of... god I would love for a event to have 3-4 big fights on it, with competitive undercard fights also, and not just bums..
I think the UFC are miles ahead than boxing promoters on how to sell an event. I watched UFC 99 and it was just one big fight after another..
Could you imagine if we had...
Pac man vs Cotto
Floyd vs JMM
Williams vs Pavlik
etc etc all on the same event?! that would be insane.. and would undoubtably sell shit loads.
That would be a tremendous fight.Main event worthy and guaranteed someone...cough...Valero ends up counting the lights on the ceiling.Well lets hope.
Arum know his boxing business. The addition of Valero-Soto will mean more Mexican fans buying this fight card. Boricuas, Pinoys, Mexs, other Latinos, this card got it all.
