My friend/boxing trainer and I have been arguin over this recently.
He says that if Tito met up with Benn at 160 he would tear through Nigel and knock him out easily in a couple rounds.
I beg to differ.

IMO Trinidad had the more explosive punching power, and it's not like Benn was a ring technician, i think it would of been even for most of the fight, until Trinidad stops him in the later rounds due to the huge double left hooks (hook to the body then the head) combined with his huge straight right, but this much said i think he'd stop Benn on his feet, probably on the ropes

Hulk,you should go easier on your trainer in sparring or at least pull your punches....hes clearly affected.
Benn way to strong and Tito going back is a Tito being hurt in that one.

My trainer and I just go to the body when we spar. Sometimes jabs up top.
Cus he suffered a brain tumour when he was younger and had to have it removed back then, so its not safe to go hard up top with him.
Real good trainer and good guy though.
He just doesn't like Benn. Thinks he has no skill or defense.
And while I will agree with my trainer, that HIS favorite fighter, James Toney would KO Benn at 160, I don't think Tito could have done it.
Even if Tito hurt Benn, then the "Dark Destroyer" woulda got up and run thru Tito like a hot knife thru butter.

Trinidad punches were straighter than Benn's. If he could avoid getting caught Trinidad stops him. And stops him early.
I agree Benn was at his best at 168. Not 160

Trinidad was not as effective at 160 as he was 154 and 147.
Benn KO.
