Anyone disagree?
Top 5. He's that good. Best of the Cubans clearly. Check him out if you haven't! I believe all of his fights are on youtube.

Best of the current cubans maybe....hard to tell a whole lot fighting chumps on espn who have a hard time even getting a ride to the arena.

best of the cuban prospects... casamayor's still active i believe. have you watched any of his fights?
he's a beautiful boxer to watch. clearly well-schooled.
perhaps you've seen his fight with darnell boone? you know, the formerly mismanaged, crafty veteran who knocked down Andre Ward? that was a step-up in class for the cuban prospect and Lara handled it extremely well, though i wish he wasn't so intent on getting the KO in the early rounds.
I'm very high on Lara, he's got a ton of potential, but I'd hesitate to go much beyond that at this point. We're not going to know anything about his P4P (or even championship) potential until he steps up in class. I imagine at the very least he'll become a belt-holder at 154/160 though.
Casamayor is in no way a prospect, he's a multi-weight world champ & veteran coming to the end of his career.
I think he meant along with the likes of Rigondeaux, Solis & maybe Gamboa. He's good & I have no doubt a future beltholder, but I'm not sure he's good enough to be pound for pound top 5 just yet.

Cuban boxers have good fundamentals, we seen that even at the Olympics, Cuban coaches are sought after. But they seldom turn professional. If they become one, they always become successful. I have expectations on Lara, but he has still a lot to learn.
