Default MAyweather 4th all time in PPV sales

Mayweather's crossover is money - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports

This is amazing for a man who is supposedly not a draw! the article discusses his success before the Marquez bout when he was the fifth most successful all time PPV fighter. now after overtaking Lennox Lewis due to the huge sales in the Marquez bout Mayweather has become the 4th most successful PPV star trailing only Oscar DeLaHoya(1), Tyson(2) & Holyfield(3).

Very impressive indeed, can you see any young up and coming fighter possibly being a major ppv star?? Im finding hard to find one to be honest.

Me too i mean the most ideal is Chad Dawson, but the guy can't draw flies to shit at the moment he needed a fight and win against Joe Calzhage.
Calzhage is not or has never been a huge name but would have been a great step up to glory for Chad.

His other option is Hopkins as Hopkins whilst not Hugely popular is well known and a win here would knock chads pulling power up a bit.

Floyd is definitely a draw and the biggest in boxing right now. But Floyd's not known for his intelligence outside the ring and he definitely did take the hard road. I'm not big on Arum but he was right on how to market Floyd. Not on the next "so and so" but to reach the demographics that is the largest and who pay the most. Floyd has ridiculous talent and skills. People shouldn't be fooled by Floyd's success and think he maximized his potential. Floyd could have been even bigger than what his now. Even though he is the biggest draw in boxing he could've been even bigger.

Well, I am surprised. I don't quite get why that many people would splash out to watch a WW take on LW. I'm surprised more didn't cancel their subscription after the weigh in debacle too. It's not a good sign that people will watch in their droves to see Mayweather fight a hand picked opponent. We might never see the last of this type of behaviour.

Why would people think Mayweather was not a big draw. I go to every feed back website and people are talking about how much they hate or love him. Even when he took a layoff u people were still talking about him. U PEOPLE made him a big draw. It's simply called the Law of cause and effect. This man is beating his oposition inside the ring and using his oposition outside the ring to his great advantage. U People(im not talking about race) are the main reason. Just accept it u got beat by Floyd too. P.S- If U People didnt run Tall Paul Williams out of the division you would have had somebody to dethrone Floyd but u ran him out because u didnt want him to fight your favorite fighters. You allowed Mosley, Cotto, Floyd to avoid Paul with no protest and he could not even give away a rematch to Margo so blame yourselves for Floyd being and staying on top. Tall Paul would have crashed Floyd's ass. U People Reap what u SOW.
