Default Andre Ward would school Carl Froch..

    wow i've completely overrated froch.

if ward looks even remotely decent against kessler, i expect him to slaughter froch should they ever meet.

Well I'm certain he will be able to make him miss wildly and look amateurish, but the question is whether he can do enough offensively himself to score enough points to beat him.

Taylor had the speed and skills to make him look ragged but overdid it and got ko'd.

Dirrell had the speed and skills to make him look ragged but ran too much and didn't engage enough to get the decision.

Ward will have to be in the middle....

I half agree with you, but not so sure that your giving Ward due credit here. It wasn't simply the gameplans of Taylor and Dirrell(I actually thought Andre won the fight clearly) that cost them the wins. I think Andre Ward is a better boxer than either of them at this point, Froch has me basically writing him off after that fight tonight. I am fairly confident Ward would beat him, but it's pointless to speculate at this point as he still has to get by Kessler(who would EASILY beat Froch imo.) Either way, Carl isn't winning this thing for me, he didn't deserve the decision tonight.

Would would remain about a million times more composed then either Taylor or Dirrell did. Dirrell won tonight by all means, but he fought in spurts and a lot of situations he held when he didn't have to. Just became a bit unglued and paniced at times especially on the inside. When you have that much of a footspeed advantage, use it more then just on the outside.

    I truley disagree.

I thought Dirrell looked liked a child fighting a man. You know, throwing his building blocks and then running behind furniture.

Dirrel didn't want to fight he wanted to hold and run. He only fought for two rounds 11 and 12 and the only reason he did remotely good was becaues of the 2 to 1 speed difference. Take away the speed and dirrel would have been knocked out cold. Froch couldn't adapt to the speed and was swinging at air all night.

composed is the right word. dirrell's way too tense in there. ward is in comparison very relaxed.

He'll be relaxed alright when Kessler puts him to sleep.

Sorry if I seem in a bad mood but my team are being beaten by Bastard Rovers 3-1 at half time and I'm now in a bitching mood!

No I actually rate Ward very highly, in fact I voted him as my pick to win the whole thing in Ouma's thread.

I just don't think it's a given that he will beat Froch, and certainly not easily.

We know Froch can look bad, but he still finds a way to win. The Dirrell fight was not impressive from either fighter imo, I don't think Dirrell desereved to lose his 0 but he really didn't do enough to take the title from the champion either. I'd score it a draw, first blood wasn't even drawn let alone a decisive battle won.

Ward will never fight again after Kessler destroys him!
