Roach is the one who wants the weight to be his way. He even had a stipulation of against Cotto of $1 million a pound if he went over that catchweight. How do I conclude this? Oh, I don't know... Number one, I was being facetious about fighting at 168 so thanks for the history lesson. Floyd later in his career, like Bernard Hopkins during his middleweight reign has made a career of fighting high profile smaller men. Gatti, Hatton, JJM... The only reason he fought ODLH at 154 was cuz he knew he was used up.

Roach HAS to make stipulations like that or people would be able to exploit the fact that Manny is just plain fighting bigger men and he wants to make the advantage of normal weight to blow up weight negligable. If you're fighting 10 to 14 lbs out of your prefered weight class then you need to make sure the guys that wear this weight normally aren't going to take advantage of fighting a much smaller man.
