One thing I like about Malignaggi is you can tell he watches a ton of boxing, he knows what's going on with fighters around him. You can tell he does his homework, everytime he is asked about another fighter he can cite specific fights and what their strengths and weaknesses were in those fights.

He does make a good point about Pacquiao gaining muscle mass over the short period of time. I'm sure anyone that's on here that's worked out to gain muscle mass would agree that adding 17 pounds of muscle in 18 months while engaging in hard core cardio nearly everyday isn't normal. And he does say that he is just speculating.

For me, I have to have faith that the drug tests are conclusive and that PAC has made his rise through the weightclasses is legit.

I don't trust the drug tests and I wouldn't be shocked at all by anybody being on something but does Pacquaio look much different now than from when he was drying out to make 130 and coming in on fight night at 144 than he does now coming in on fight night at 147? Of course he could have been on something all the way back at 130.

As I've said many times before, just legalise the drugs and we wont have a problem with cheats any more.

Easy way to level the playing the field and cut out all the hassle.

Even more so when you consider Manny is an elite athlete who has trained to peak fitness for well over a decade.

Maybe some skinny kid with good genetics who has never picked up a barbell in his life might pack on a lot of muscle in that period but someone who has already been training for 20 years would find it very hard to suddenly make such a drastic change to his body.

I speak purely as an armchair athlete here though

Pac was 144 againts Morales in 2005.

    Let's say he's 150 againts Cotto.

That's 6 pounds in 4 yrs. He's not just draining for the weigh in. and that works wonders.

Yeah. sorry mate. replied before reading the posts.

    In addition:

Fighters like James Toney and Shane Mosley tested positive and got caught. So if Pacquiao is really roiding he must be using something that is undetectable and he must be the only fighter using this. Well maybe also Floyd because only the two of them have shown this invincible aura recently.

so if Pacquiao is roiding these conditions must be true

    - Manny Pacquaio is using a roid that is undetectable that makes him faster, stronger, better right hooks and better chin (He should share it with Donairre)

    - He's roiding while filming Movies, Filming Commercial, playing Billiards, Political activities, Playing basketball and Family life

    - The substance doesnt affect his mental stability as pac affears to be happy all the time

That's the biggest case for it right there. I have a hard time picturing someone getting all roided out, getting the adrenalin pumping for 40 minutes and then saying in a perfectly calm voice "I'm just doing my job, it's nothing personal". I would imagine something more like a tyson "He ain't no Alexander, I'm Alexander PRAISE BE TO ALLAH" in response to a "was this the fastest KO you've ever had?" question.

Mosley didn't get caught through testing. Read the article I posted on page 2 of this thread, it talks about how he got busted, and that the substance being used, can't be detected by current testing.
