Default Is Oscar serious when he said this?

"Whatever type of cheating you're doing, it's wrong. You should be banned for life." - Oscar Dela Hoya

So why is he still promoting Shane Mosley?

Does he ever think 1st before he open his mouth?

What do you think is wrong with him? this is not the 1st time

    - 16X16, 18X18 or 20X20 ring?
    - Does the midget hit hard or not?

Just to put pressure on Pacman, I think. Oscar says weird things here and here, he has gotten the TM's syndrome while aging.

He's talking about Marg in particular but cant he just say it like

"If you're cheating with loaded gloves, it's wrong. You should be banned for life."

That at least is not a hit on Mosley. Its total contradiction the way he said it.

I do agree that the way he said it it doesn't make sense. Still, I am sure that Pac's on his backmind and it is psychological warfare for the potential bout with Mayweather later in 2010.

You could be right. But with the kind of money he has. he can easily afford someone to write proper statements for him. So he wont sound or look like an idiot out there

I think there needs to be level playing field in sport and since everyone can't be drug tested all the time, i actually think performance enhancers should be legalised.

Imagine the Olympics with every athlete on roids. It would be awesome. Imagine seeing female runners with big square jaws and fencers having to deal with roid rage? Imagine seeing the shot put flying out of the stadium?

    It would be class.

Well I agree with the quote. I think any athlete in any sport caught cheating should be banned. If rules were enforced that harshly competitors would be less inclined to take the risk.

That said oscar is going back on it and showing double standards by promoting Mosely.

It just shows there are two Oscars. Oscar the boxer and Oscar the business man.

well if some up and coming prospect is asking Oscar for advice and

on Monday he said : "Cheating is bad you wont get anywhere with that"

and on Wednesday he said : "If you want to make it big fast. You should cheat"

    Update:

    Weeks later

"There's no negotiation, I only say its close because of the media" - The same Oscar

...oscar is just doing his job. All of the sudden people act lik there is a such thing as a promoter that doesn't do this same crap, cause we all know arum, king, etc....are straight shooters. At least oscar says his bullshit during buisness hours. Not suckering a bunch of people to stay up till midnight to hear it.
