    Default Caballero/Yordan

Looks like Celestino is making the move up to feather finally. Yordan is of course best known for having a second round no contest against Guerrero.

In case you were wondering this IS for an interim title (WBA). So here's the WBA stack up at feather

    Super Champ: Chris John
    Champ: Yuriorkis Gamboa
    Interim champ: Caballero/Yordan winner.

This fight will be on the Berto/Quintana undercard. The rest of the card is a showcase for prospects. Yes Taeth, Guillermo Rigondeaux is also on the card.

Anyway back to Caballero, I think featherweight is where he starts to feel some real resistance, his height advantage is going to start being diminished, and the diversity of styles increases. Of course Caballero did very good against solid competition at 122.

I have to pick Caballero with his weird angles over Yordan, but I think Daud will keep it close early.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Not sure why. But I'm thinking Caballero blows out Yordan. Similar to the way he did Molitor.

I really like this fight. I haven't seen much of Yordan; I've only seen the fight where it looked like he was set to outbox Robert Guererro before Guerrero quit. We can all agree Yordan looked nice in that fight. So nice in fact that Guerrero hasn't signed up to fight him again. And I think I'd favor Guerrero over Caballero. I'm really undecided at least at this point.

Yordan did look good for that whole round and a half. No where near enough for me to think he can even be competitive with Caballero. I mean except for Guerrero, the only familiar name on his resume is former Rey Bautista victim Antonio Meza. Who he beat by MD. Molitor I remember had a similar soft resume before he faced Caballero

I hear ya. This fight doesn't seem like the best match-up for Yordan on paper other than the fact that he is ten years younger than Caballero. You'd think his people would build his resume up before putting him in with someone like Caballero. Truthfully, Molitor had a better resume than Yordan going into his fight with Caballero. I'm sure Caballero is thinking he'll walk through Yordan and get in a more lucrative fight with Gamboa. Surely, Yordan's people know that. Why didn't they put him in with a Litzauesque opponent first or even Molitor? It doesn't make much sense to me. I only root for him because I feel like he was about to have a career-defining win and Guerrero quit.

I guess it's only me but I'm excited about this fight. I'll be rooting for the underdog.
