    Default Best Fighters In Rematches.

What fighters have fought rematches, and totally adjusted. Or destroyed the other fighter.

For example Orlando Canizales, he had 2 close fights vs Billy Hardy, Sergio Reyes, but beat them both handily in rematches.

He also lost to Paul Gonzales, but destroyed him in there 2nd meeting. And against Kelvin Seabrooks, he beat him even more convincingly and in quicker fashion in there 2nd fight.

Another one that comes to mind is Marvin Hagler, he had countless rematches. Against fighters who troubled him early in his career, but destroyed them in rematches later in his career.

Muhammad Ali also done good in rematches vs Spinks, Norton 2, Frazier 2.

Can anyone think of anymore ?

Lennox Lewis seemed to adjust pretty well in his rematches with McCall and Rahman. The only two men to beat him.

    Holyfield rematch...not so much.

Joe Louis was also pretty good in rematches. Billy Conn, Max Schmeling, Jersey Joe Walcott, Lee Ramage, Arturo Godoy, Buddy Baer, ETC.

Mike McCallum against Kalambay and i thought he beat Toney (both times)

    Pernell Whitaker

I agree with you regarding Pernell Whitaker who is one of my favorites by the way, he destroyed Jose Luis Ramirez even worse in there 2nd fight, even though he deserved the win in the 1st fight by far.

He was far more offensive and left no doubt, he embarrassed Buddy McGirt when his shoulder was 100 percent, and after a close win vs Wilfredo Rivera, he beat Wilfredo Rivera much more convincing in there 2nd fight.

Both men were down, but i thought Pernell Whitaker's knockdown was a slip. Where as Wilfredo Rivera going down was much more legit, and showed the underrated power of Pernell Whitaker.
