Default The World No 1 P4P (next year)

    Froch eyes world scene

Carl Froch says he is ready to take on the best in the super middleweight division following his defeat of Mark Woolnough last Wednesday.
In the first defence of his Commonwealth crown, Froch became the first man to stop the tough Canadian.

"Woolnough is just the type of talented, tough opponent I need to be beating in order to progress," said the 26-year-old Nottingham stylist.

"I genuinely believe I could handle myself on the world stage right now."

And Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy believes Froch already has the tools to win a world title.

"It's tempting to move fast with Carl because there is no one who'll beat him," said Hennessy.

"We feel strongly he'd beat (WBC super middleweight champion) Cristian Sanavia tomorrow in seven rounds."

I want that Lonsdale belt and I will win it before going on to European and then world honours

Froch was due to have challenged Tony Dodson for the British title last week before the champion withdrew following a car crash.

And the situation regarding the domestic crown remains unclear.

"It's a case of waiting now for the Board of Control to decide what to do about the British title," added Froch.

"There's a chance Dodson will be out for some time, so they may nominate me to fight for the vacant title."

Hennessy has indicated Froch could fight Southampton's Matthew Barney in September if Dodson does not recover in time.

"I want that Lonsdale belt and I will win it before going on to European and then genuine world honours," said Froch.

Agree with this 100%. Sometimes I wonder if he's a bit simple in the head..

EDIT: Wow.. didn't realise this was a old thread. And to think after all this time he's only just won his first world title.

Lol! I got bored. But somebody here doesn't like the idea of bumping ancient threads and linking it to Pac.

You must spread some Neg. Reputation around before giving it to Quinito again

I wonder why someone would have a problem with you trolling, spamming the main board, and trying to get a rise out of people for no good reason? It's a mystery, that's for sure...

You have a Pac forum to post in, a place where you would get a lot more replies and feedback from other Pac fans. The Pac forum was put in place to prevent the main board from being flooded with Pac related threads. I know your just taking the piss and if I was a mod or saddo I'd just ban you on the spot. Lucky for you this is a great site and you get your say, no matter how much of a spaz you are. However I'm certain you will push that privilage to the limit and get banned anyway.

I saw Froch's last fight. If he wants to compete at world level he should:

    1) Stop posturing and use his jab.

    2) Learn how to slip/block punches.
If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominos will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

If Pac retires and run for the congress next year, I'm guessing Mosley and PWill will fight for the p4p throne next year.

That would be a shame if he retired next year. It has it's plus sides though.....you might not be here!

froch can slip brilliantly but it's impossible to do it arms down for 12 rounds. look at herol graham, although granted graham had a more suspect chin. i know he's an arrogant bugger but i kinda like his unorthodox boxing style. he attacks very sharply, from unusual angles. has he got the style to allow a raised guard?

I'm sure he is capable of slipping punches, all i'm saying is he didn't at all in the last fight. Not can't box but won't box.

On another point, can anyone tell me there any actual benefit from keeping the left arm so low? It just looks like a pointless gesture to me.
