Default Ian Napa v Stuart Hall, Sky FNF in the uk.

I thought I would post my thoughts on the fights seen this evening, which saw Ian Napa quit in the fight against Stuart Hall for the British bantamweight title.

Hall seemed to be doing well in the first couple of rounds, landing a couple of straight rights down the pipe, and Napa looking a little ineffectual. Was fairly competitive rounds 3-6, Napa boxing smartly, and Hall essentially looking to put in the work. In rounds 7 & 8 Napa seemed to take control, dominating the exchanges, and Hall just looking to answer what was thrown rather than creating himself.

Napa quitting in the corner in the 8th was a big surprise...he seemed to be on his way to a good win, but Hall now has the title, and looking at Napa I doubt he'll be too keen for a rematch.

Well done Stuart Hall, but I suspect tougher challenges are on the way!

Really? He quit on his stool? Did he say anything post fight?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Missed the fight, but I have looked around and seems he was in total control and was 4-3- and 2 up on all three cards, can't see where Napa goes from here, apparently he said he felt dizzy and said he didn't want to continue, alot of people were very shocked and said it seemed very odd.

It is reported he felt weight drained but he was winning the fight on 2 of the cards, may have quit too early. Surpring.

    Very Sad
i think his heart was broken after the last dodgy judges decision and he just couldnt do it last night he was probably thinking i was winning last fight but they took the title from then.
its a real shame he is one of my favorite little fighters.

The retiring smelt very fishy to me, in the round previous to quitting he had be dominant for every second and looked head and shoulders the better fighter. If he had got another 2 rounds in the bag he could have coasted for the remainder and took a points win. Hall didn't look good enough to be the winner.

Does anyone else think that Napa is like a poor mans Mayweather? His stance, the way he starts slow, then works out his opponent and begins to dominate the last third ofthe fight. Even the way he slips punches reminds me of Mayweather.

Also, did anyone see Tony Jefferies? That guy can BANG! He looks a little excitable, but he is very heavy handed. I think he will do really well, better than Frankie Gavin and most the other olympians.
