    Lightbulb Leave Floyd Some Feedback!

Yeah, Floyd Mayweather's website is asking for feedback with a comments section.
    Here's the link:

I want to hear some feedback |

When you post, it says "your comment is awaiting moderation", and I didn't believe my comment would be posted because of the nature of it.

It's up now though, don't know for how long.

Here it is in case it gets removed:

    _____________________________________

    Dear Floyd,

Why didn’t you ever fight Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, Paul Williams, Andre Berto, Joshua Clottey, Cory Spinks, the late Vernon Forrest, Kostya Tszyu, Joel Casamayor, Paul Spadafora, or Stevie Johnston?

When you were 130 lb champ, Prince Naseem Hamed was 126 lb champ, yet no fight with Prince Naseem, Marco Antonio Barrera, nor Erik Morales.

Why wait till Shane Mosley was almost 40 years old and completely shot before fighting him? Why call up an old career featherweight like Marquez 17 lbs to fight?
Muhammad Ali talked the talk but he walked the walk and fought EVERYBODY! Sugar Ray Robinson destroyed plenty of Hall-of-Famers, but where are your Hall-of-Famers? Undefeated means nothing if you don’t fight the best competition. Not much risk and not much legacy either if you never fight the best prime guys.

    sincerely,

That comment over there is not intended to be disrespectful, but I think many fight-fans wonder about these questions. I see that comment as the voice of the unsilent majority.

It's not like I can just go get on a airliner to go discuss it with him personally, is it, I'm in a different country. I didn't write it in a disrespectful manner.

They're all relevant questions if a man publicly declares that he's better than Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson, yet creates so many obstacles to avoid a 5'6" Filipino.

Good post surprised that it made the list after moderation..

    Lets see if mine does

Why all of a sudden after your so called retirement did you come back and seek a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez? Are we to believe that he was the best opponent for you? He was undersized, he had only 1 or 2 fights as a lightweight before you decided to bait him into a fight over 140lbs. It is clear you used that fight to gauge Manny Pacquaio since JMM has been his biggest challenge over the last 5 years. Paul Williams, Cotto, even Bert were available and would have signed ASAP yet you did not choose to fight the best while claiming to be the best. You made ZERO defenses of your WW title outside Hatton.. Who stupidly called you out....How do you call yourself the best when you havent beaten a prime opponent since JL Castillo or maybe even Corrales.
For all your talent in the ring and fact that you would more then likely beat all the names mentioned and whoever else out there but Pacquiao is one you navoid? You claim it is because you want to be on an even playing field but when you jump up divisions or dominate opponets it is because you are great but if another fighter does it they must be doing PEDS or something similar. Is there a valid reason Floyd or are you just trying to convince yourself?

Done, I doubt mine will make it in though.

Retirement again? Anything to avoid the best, hey Floyd?
You retired when the Welter division was at it’s strongest, the ‘real’ fighters all fought each other, you come back and beat an ageing (like all your opponents) lightweight, even screwed him on the scales to add insult to it all.
Well done, I hope you retire and stay there, the sport is better without you. You will be known for making money, nothing else. Count how many hall of famers your resume has compared to Barrera, Morales, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Pacman….etc
    You get the picture
    Regards
    Kel

Stop building alibis Floyd, and man the fukk up. If you really wanna be recognized as greater than Ali or SRR like you claim, then fight the available MOST THREATENING OPPONENT out there ASAP!!! Now that Pac agreed to your silly demands, and you're retiring again? What kind of shiit is that? Fight Pac or otherwise you'd be forever known as the greatest COWARD who ever lived.

The more people go to this pricks website, watch his shows, post about every thing he does online, the more popular and richer you make this dude. He's not fighting right now, and is even thinking about taking a break (more bs to build more drama) so screw him. Everyone knows my in ring opinion of the guy is that he's the best on the planet, but i refuse to join in on the games he constantly plays on the public.....Do any of us really really belive floyd or anyone within 500 miles of the guy really gives a crap about what we think about him ?? Those were all good letters you guys wrote to him....maybe one day when he's retired we really could get the answers to some of them.
Hidden Content Click clack ! Give up the purse.........or yetti will find you.

"Why wait till Shane Mosley was almost 40 years old and completely shot before fighting him?"

"completely shot before fighting him" is a bizaare accusation and undermines the credibility of the post. It was not uncommon to find Sugar ranked as high as #3p4p when PBF fought him. He was coming off a brutal KO of Margarito and already had a HOF calibur career.

He was also bigger than PBF, with a height and reach advantage...ie possessed the very qualites PBF had vis avis another P4Per, JMM, that undermined the credibility of his lopsided victory in the eyes of his critics. At the time of the fight SugarShane was undoubtably a better welterweight than anyone Pacman every fought in that class. And then he was destroyed.

To be fair, he was nearing 40. It is possible that his success in the later years was due to PEDs and without them PBF knew he'd transform into an old fighter. But thats not PBFs fault and it only bolsters the credibility of his demands of Pacman. PEDs are ubiquitous in sports. Its almost certain that PBF is clean and thats an extrodinary accomplishment for such a dominant athlete. I don't blame him for being suspicious of his competition.

Either way, I think you'd have to have an agenda to try to minimize PBFs destruction of a future HOFer at a time when he was still a top-5 P4Per. Thats more than anything PAC has done at welter.

You're the one who has it exactly right. Floyd is baiting everyone, fans and anti-Floyd fans, into making him more popular and more of an attraction. Just leave him be. Stop listening and joining in on his games.
