Default Margarito-Pacquiao seems dangerous to me

I know that Shane looked amazing against Margarito, but I believe he has more power and is two and a half inches taller than Manny. Not only that, but Mosley was tieing up, and muscling Tony on the inside where Marg does his best work. I think this is a worrisome fight for Manny because he hasn't faced a guy in quite some time who will be able to take his punch and walk through it, and want to throw back at the same time. In a Mayweather-Margarito fight Floyd would have used similar tactics to Mosley with better defensive skills to cleanly outbox the big awkward Mexican, but Pacquiao is still there to be hit, and frustratingly he still just covers up on the inside and lets opponents hit him. He has been resilient so far, but guys like Cotto and Clottey throw an economical amount of punches which seemed fortuitous to me because they were clearly landing cleaner shots than were being landed on them against Manny, but Manny's angles', speed, and power forced them into a defensive shell. I can't see that being the case with Margarito, and give all the size advantages he has I think he could be a real problem for the small Pacquiao.

That being said I still favor Manny 7 times out of ten, and likely he will dominate the big slow oaf, but if Margarito keeps him on the ropes or Manny doesn't tie him up I think Pacman could be fucked.

Tony fighting Manny without concrete blocks? Lol. Pacquiao would run right through him, gun blazing with both hands. Toe to toe action with weird in-and-out-circleling motion, combos after combos, unleashing 96 punches per round. He'd blitz the pillow fisted Margocheato so fast and will make him quit before round 6.

Yes Margarito still as dangerous in Welter/Jr Middle category (with or without the plasters) honestly if Floyd-Pac will not pushed through, i would like to see Margarito to face with Pacquiao rather than Cotto-Pac at 154, If he (Marga) can have his license back in U.S and if he can still fight at 147 comfortably.

anyone who thinks margarito is going to be some kind of cupcake for pacroido is sadly mistaken. margarito is a very dangerous fighter, especially for pacquiao. and especially now that margarito uses his jab more effectively and has improved his defense. right now this is a pick em fight and i give margarito a hell of a shot in beating pacquiao.

The problem is Pacquiao won't get the same leverage against a guy who is 5'11, I think he would really have to work the body, and to do so he will have to get inside. Another thing is Manny might be throw 70-90 punches a round, but Marg usually throws 90-110 punches a round. WHen Manny fought Clottey he threw in the 1200's in terms of punches, Margarito threw over 1700.

I honestly don't think Margarito has the speed to beat Manny who shouldn't buckle like Cotto did under the pressure, but this could be very dangerous if Margarito actually learns to cut off the ring and not just charge straight forward.

Margarito is a very active fighter, and he cuts the ring off better than anyone would want to give him credit for. Problem with the Mosley fight is he was out-gunned all the way throughout the match. He doesn't know how to find room to breathe or tie up. I give him a ton of credit for his fighting style and he is a blood and guts warrior. He also stays in tremendous shape. I give Mosley full credit for beating him like he did. I don't think Pac will beat him in the same fashion. Simply for one reason.

Margarito is 5'11" pac is barely 5'7"
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

    - and I quote from some random guy on the internet

Marg wont be the 1st taller opponent Pac has beaten. Speed is the key, particularly against a slow come forward fighter. I can Manny darting in and out of range all night getting his shots off and not being hit back. Marg was a good fighter but it remains to be seen if he can still walk through shots like he used to cuz last time I saw him against a 38 year old he took a beating that bordered on rape.Tony showed that with concrete wraps he could eventually wear Cotto down but without em he got smoked by an old man. Pacs in his prime and if he begins to have any trouble with Margs style he can fall back on his superior footwork and outbox Marg. He wont try to outblast him right away but I think Marg will take so many clean shots that will be quite easy for Manny to do what he likes with him. Pac wont have the 1 shot power of Shane but he will wear Marg down like he did to Diaz. Just watch Tonys last fight, the indestructable fighter from yesteryear we remember was replaced when his handwraps were and he will never be the same again.

Firstly, Margerito probably doesn't deserve a payday of this magnitude! Pacman should outbox him in and out all day long, but it's definitely a toughy, especially considering Margerito takes the term 'granite chin' to a whole new level!

Again, you are in no position to get on a high horse about cheating in the sport!

    You absolute hipocrit.

If you are so into fair play why aren't you calling for blood tests?

If tony ain't allowed the loaded gloves pac shouldn't be allowed the roids.

But let's face it this fight would be a circus. I've said it before. They should make this no holds barred, no ref, weapons allowed match.

IMO the two shadyest bastards in the ring together at the same time. I can only hope for some kind of natural disaster and the ring gets swallowed into the ground and.

    Joke fight. But whatever sells.

There isn't any proof that Pacman cheated at all, I think they just didn't want to fight Mayweather at that time, and he was pissed off by what Mayweather's camp was saying.

I think Cotto looked pretty poor against Foreman, a guy he would have absolutely crippled on his own a few years back. He didn't sink shots to the body like he used to, he didn't show the same ability to counter speed with his timing, he looked far more timid than in his prime, and just as easy to hit.

So if I get accused of killing somone, as long as I don't turn up to court I'm innocent?

If I have the oppotunity to clear my name and earn a few million off it at the same time but refuse it all rather than go to court I'm innocent anyway am I?

The ONLY reason why there is no evidence of pac is cuz he refused testing.

Everyone on this site thought margarito was a fair sports man till he got found out. Now since that everyone on hear is screaming that toni cheated his whole carear.

People need to stop being so thickle.
