Wink If you stepped into the ring with Manny Pacquiao

on a HBO PPV event , right now (you're allowed to warm up) - how long do you think you'd do? Do you think you'd get a few punches in? Last a few rounds? Take him the distance?

Me, personally, I reckon I'd go in windmilling and get knocked the fuck out with a straight left. Brutal knock out. They would probably have to get the medics in to give me oxygen.

    How about everyone else?

Well im too big for Manny Pacquiao being 6'2 176 pounds, so it would be a mismatch size wise. I doubt there's anyone on this forum really who's 140 pounds.

But im in pretty good shape i go to the gym and workout quite alot, i go swimming often and i did have some Amateur fights. Although nowhere in the league of a Manny Pacquiao obviously.

But P4P ? i think i could last quite a bit, because i am in pretty good shape, and i think i take a decent shot. And im also pretty young at 20.

FFS. I don't want your life story.

This was hypothetical. I don't care about weight classes, the question was 'if you stepped into the ring' would you get knocked the fuck out? Let's not get picky about a pipe dream.

There ain't no frigging way i'd be Ko'ed in 1 round by a 5'6 guy. Your talking out your frigging asses. Yes Manny Pacquiao is a well trained Professional boxer. But all i'd have to do is move around the ring, keep him at bay with my 76 inch reach and he wouldn't get to me straight away, hell he'd even have trouble reaching me being 6'2.

Honestly its not like anyone who doesn't do proffesional boxing, can't handle themselves. Or keep themselves in shape. I lift weights pretty often and yes i do alot of swimming. I can do up to a mile in swimming, and it keeps you in great shape because it works basically every muscle.

Honestly take the piss i couldn't careless, i know what im capable of. None of you even know me, so how the hell could you tell anything.

All i said is that i could last "quite a bit" atleast give him a few rounds. Down to mine ridiculous height and weight advantage, aswell as being in pretty good shape fact.

FFS mate I do like you but sometimes you talk utter shite, and please are you going to tell me where you did your boxing I must off asked you this about 50000000 times you never answer me.

I am suprised a guy like yourself thinks this because you deffo know your stuff and 90% of the time your on the money but jesus mate have a bloody word with yourself.

Manny Pacquiao is maybe the best fighter the world has seen in the last 20 years maybe longer well if not the best one of them, but because you are quite fit, your fit though is about 10% of what his fitness is for starters.

Secondly becasue you had 3/4 fights or we are led to believe you did about three years ago that will also put you in with a shout v Pac.

Then thirdly you talk about your size hahahahahahaha mate Pac toys with 154/160 lb fighters who would murder you Manny has toyed with fighters like Shaun Porter.

I would sell every possesion I own that Pac would destroy you in less than three minutes if that is what he was instructed to do with ease.

Put it this way mate when I was in jail with a guy round our way who is hard as fucking nails about 180 lbs 5 10 26 years old at the time, like I say very tough bloke. Now also in jail was another mate of mine who works and trains at a boxing gym in Middleton Manchester now the hard bloke is a bit full of himself basically up his own arse thinks he is he man, the bloke who runs the boxing gym challenged him when they were both out to have a 3 round spar with a 15 year old Featherweight who he rated highly, so eventully this happend the Featherweight beat the shit out of him for three rounds , he was nursing an ego for months aswell as a face like he had been smashed round with a bag of bricks.

Manny would knock you into next week mate.

    Love this hahaha^

I think i could go about two rounds with him then id be exhausted! I've had a few amateur fights but im not in shape. If i was in shape for a 12 round fight i think i could last with him i can take alot my chin is pretty solid but i wouldn't be a nice site after the fight!

I'm 6'0 and around 185 pounds and in pretty good shape with lifting weights and an occasional workout hitting the bags. I say I can last the full 12 rounds with a 145 pound fighter, maybe even ko him since I do have the 40 pound weight advantage. It will be easy money.

Ah shit, who the fuck am I kidding? I'll probably be sparked out within 30 seconds with the ending looking like a Hatton fight.

5'10" 205 lb. I hit hard and have boxed in the past.

If that little bastard agreed to stand perfectly still and let me tee off on him i THINK i could buzz, mayhap even drop him.

If he actually boxed though i picture myself wading in to land a good one and eating like 43 unanswered shots and falling to the canvas crying.

Its actually interesting. I remember when Shaq boxed de la Hoya on that reality show and thinking " man i got oscar by 50 pounds, i bet i could take his head off..."

Truth is though, they'd never let you hit em. There's worlds seperating amateurs and pros. Gimme a straw weight though. I'd thrash that ass. Maybe.
Hey, yo Tommy, I didn't hear no bell.

I have devised a plan to last a round, at least with Pac. All boxers should use this imo:

1min - 1.30 min running around the ring not even attempting to throw.

    Finally given warning

1.30 - 2.30 running and throwing occasional shadow boxing jab about 6ft away from him.

    Given point deduction.

2.30 - 3 running around doing Ali shuffle in corners and giving it come on gesture to him which make the crowd laugh and makes the referee scared to spoil the fun by DQ me.

THAT is how you survive a round with Pac

Best stay away from the public swimming pools mate, you might find yourself in a spot of bother with the rozzers.

    swimming makes you hard
No it makes you fit, trying doing Butterfly, Backstroke, Freestyle Crawl, Breaststroke. Mixing all that up into 40 lengths and see how you feel after.
