Default Roach "This is Pacquiao's worst camp"

    Also some thoughts on Margarito

Interesting thing he says about Margarito here. But all the "worst camp ever politics has changed him" makes it just seem like they need some sort of edge to make it seem like Margarito has a chance. But we'll see. Thoughts?

I think people are going a bit over board with the conspiracy theories that they are trying to look Pac look bad, the evdience is there, he was taking days off and missing training that can't be sugar coated it is a FACT that has been shown, maybe showing the bits were he was getting dominated in sparring was edited for that fact alone, but the more I watch I see Pac having a bad camp for sure, will it make a difference I am not sure.

The Pac camp against Cotto is 2x worst IMHO. But that's up to you guys if wanna buy the hype/drama.

Exactly. I seem to remember this similar stuff being fed to us all the way back to the Hatton fight. Basically, every fight where Pac has started as the sometimes overwhelming favourite (Hatton, Cotto, Clottey & Margarito), he's been having a terrible training camp with too many distractions, too much basketball & fractious camp. I will love it when he batters Margarito from pillar to post.

I fully expect any camp against Mayweather to be spoken of publically like the De La Hoya one, one of complete and utter focus and determination.

I agree, if it was against Mayweather, then all the distractons etc, wouldn't even be a factor, he's be focused 100 percent. Why? that's how they'd hype the fight, and because the "distractions unfocused" hype wouldn't work in a Mayweather fight, with the way its hyped how badly he wants to fight mayweather no one would buy that pacquiao would be "taking days off" im preperation. It's all about how they want to hype the fight.

These 24/7 episodes etc they all have their gimmick.

Pacquiao's is he is distracted, not focused, too much playing, not enough focus, bad training camp, worried, Rocky 3 scenario. Then on fight night he destroys the opponent.

Mayweather is he is so focused and determined, he spars with a random person the cameras leave, they come back and the random person is bloody. Then on fight night it goes to a decision.

These 24/7 episodes, interviews, no training etcs are for nothing more than to hype the fight. If they showed Pacquiao being focused dominant, destroying everything in his path and as if there was no distractions whatsoever, no one would buy this fight because they saw what's been done to Margarito and saw him get destroyed by Mosley. The chance that this fight is pushing is that Margarito has a chance because Pacquiao is unfocused.

Every "opponent" has had the best training camp ever and will be a hungry beast come fight night, while Pacqiao is going through the motions and shall be caught napping. But come fight night the opponents are the ones beaten.

However I will say this, even at their least, eventually distractions no matter how small, will catch up to us.

If I'm not mistaken this bad camp hype went all the way back to the 2nd Barrera fight to hype that mismatch. Margo is close to being a shot fighter and then take into account he won't be allowed to use his special power, this fight is even a bigger mismatch than the David Diaz fight imo.

It's bollocks. There is no excuse for a bad camp. More so if the cameras are rolling. Makes it seem like propaganda. Pac is fine, but maybe learning a couple of less tricks than normal.

.....all i'm sayin is how many times have we heard guys scream about how great thier camp was, best of their lives i've even heard. Then come out and get thier ass kicked. Pac will be ready if he's not then don't fight. No excuses bad or good once the bell rings. I bet tony doesn't belive any of this stuff.......and neither should any of us. People will say this and that about floyd but with all the pressure he is under to fight he does it only when he's ready cause he realizes no one would buy any excuse he'd have if he lost. Same standard should go for pac.
