Default Really lookin forward to Prizefighter Super Featherweights tonight....

Anyone else really looking forward to this one tonight?? First time in a while i'm looking forward to the Prizefighter, thought they had gone to shit a bit to be honest, but tonight should be a great contest IMO. Sykes, Tseenpurev and McArthur good domestic fighters, and even Buckland and Bell can scrap. Should be some right good scraps IMO. Just been down to the bookies and stuck a fiver on Choi to win. Who knows, he's tough and can bang although he's gettin on.... Sykes is the fav naturally, prob the most talented, but he still only really gets to the finish line on workrate and desire.

    Come on Choi..........

I'm seriously not rich enough to put on 30 quid. Ha..... I actually do like Sykes to win outright, I just want Choi to win. Plus, Sykes has never had his chin properly tested yet, and if he gets the chance, Choi will test it for sure.

Without doubt. If Choi was a bit younger I'd fancy him but at 39 (i think that what he is) and at superfeather I think Sykes just may be too much for him. Can they meet in the final??

Yeah, they can meet in the final man. I'd say from this that Choi beats Murphy and McArthur beats Matthews. Sykes batters Lawton, Bell and Buckland I don't know. I would prob say logic Sykes and McArthur in the final but who knows.....

    Quarter-Final 1 – Choi Tseveenpurev v Ben Murphy
    Quarter-Final 2 – Gary McArthur v Derry Mathews
    -------------------------------------------------------------
Quarter Final 3 – Gary Sykes v Scott Lawton
    Quarter-Final 4 – Steve Bell v Gary Buckland

Didn't know a great deal about Gary McArthur, but after looking, he's never fought at Super Featherweight before, with lightweight being his lightest and mostly at Light Welter, and at 28, would you think that might be a tough little task just making the weight??

Don't rule our Macurther, he's a good little fighter.

Sykes should clean up with ease though.

However if Choi can get two KO's, he'll be nice and fresh for the final

Skel will be your man if you need one PM him. I'm off out so I'm having to record it and watch it later. hopefully Sykes will win and then i'll put my winnings on Machida in the UFC. Already got a bit on Williams tonight too.

I think McArthur might be worth a couple of quid around 6/1. He was doing well in Prizefighter before until a terrible cut stopped him. TheMacMagician could be right about the weight, but if he's OK with it he has the size to go well.

I don't think current champions should be allowed to fight in prizefighter. I think it should only be for fighters looking to revive their career. Sykes is a quality boxer, but i don't think prizefighter is suited for his style. This could be a big big mistake by sykes entering prizefighter.
