Default The Hollywood curse on boxers

Ever notice how a star boxer is doing good or great in his career, he's at his peak, then he makes a movie, or even has a small, tiny role in the movie and then he loses his next fight or shortly there after ?

It seems to me like its a curse.

Lennox Lewis had a TINY role in Oceans 11, wastes hella time filming a 30 second scene of pretending to fight Wlad then gets KO'd by Hasim Rahman in a huge upset.

Roy Jones Jr. has a small role in the two Matrix sequels then loses to Tarver.

Tarver is the star villian in Rocky Balboa then gets his ass whipped by Bernard Hopkins.

Tommy Morrison starred in Rocky V then gets nearly beaten to death by Ray Mercer.

There are a few exceptions sure, like James Toney in the movie "Ali" but for the most part there seems to be a Hollywood curse.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

It's probably more to do with the fact that they have their heads up their asses with fame and they are taking time off training.

    Pure coincidence.

I always thought Rocky helped Morrisons career, ok well his exposure. Career wise Mercer was going to feed him his teeth movie or no movie. What about Mark Breland. had a pretty solid roll way back out of the Olympics? Movie escapes me something Glory
