Default a LEGEND in the making

I'm watching Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight yet another dead body... er... I mean... opponent, and it suddenly occurs to me... I've been going about this all WRONG. Accusing poor Junior of being coddled by Papa, being brought along, coddling his precious "0", feasting on tomato cans, just like his dad did. But no... I'm beginning to see things differently now.

Junior should win this fight without too much trouble. That means he'll be 42-0-1. He's soon to be 25 years old and has been fighting roughly 7 years. That works out to roughly 6 fights a year. Let's see... assuming he continues his current pace, he should continue to accumulate 6 victories a year. He needs 58 to reach 100 like his old man. So let's see... that's roughly 10 more years. He'd be 35 by then, certainly not old by today's boxing standards.

Wow... Junior will join his dad in the 100-win club sometime in 2021, except he'll do his dad one better. He'll reach 100 wins without a loss. Now for a strategy... how do we do this?

Well... they're bound to run out of dead bodies... I mean... opponents pretty soon. What to do next? Hmmm... I know, they can hold raffles at the local arena in Mexico. Pay $10, buy a raffle ticket. If you get picked... you get a $500 payday for getting in the ring with Junior. A helpful staff member will check your basic medical information to make sure no one dies of a heart attack. Papa himself will supervise someone else on the staff who will give the raffle winner some pointers on self-defense and basic boxing skills. Some autographed pictures from Papa himself and a pair of autographed boxing shorts, a pat on the back, and off you go, into the ring.

Before you know it... 6 victories a year... Junior pads his record while the old man swells with pride... and we have another legend in the making.

Anyone have their cell phone number? Maybe they'll buy my idea.

Now the Fox Deportes commentators are trying to talk up the quality of the defeated challenger, "what's-his-name". This is hilarious. Papa's probably just outside camera range nodding approvingly at everything they say.

What was the result? A ko or decision. If he KO'd Lyell then good on him. He's a decent, not great fighter.

96-94 on one card, hardly dominating by JCC Jr. The other two had it like 98-92 from what I saw, the 7th round on, it was a close fight, and JCC Jr. didnt overly impress me at all. The crowd was even kind of w/e to the decision. They wanted a knockout.Take into consideration this is the guy Kirkland ktfo and Sylvester beat down. Now JCC Jr, gets his gift belt against Zbik the guy who worked soo hard for the belt. Fucking WBC clowns.
