Default ESPN FNF-Sergio Mora vs Brain Vera

How do you guys think Mora will do after the draw with shane, and now that he has a new trainer?

I had no idea that Mora had switched trainers, that's something that was long overdue IMO.

I actually think Vera has a decent chance of beating, and maybe even stopping, Mora. Mora is going to come out looking to put on an entertaining show after the farce that was the Mosley fight (at least he will if he has any desire to save what little marketability he has left), and I think that will leave him open to getting hit by Vera, a guy who is crude but who can definitely bang a bit.

    Let us hope so !

I love Vera and I loathe Mora. Vera has the heart of a champion, just not the skills of one. Vera is a good deal bigger than Mora and much more powerful though Mora has certainly beaten the much better level of competition.

I hope Vera comes on late to SMASH Mora.

Easy points win for Mora, he's elusive enough to not get caught like Lee did. Vera has been losing alot lately as well. Probably not gonna be an exiciting fight.

I too want Mora to get demolished, but he'll box Vera's head off.

I gotta say I like Mora...I know I am in the minority but I have talked with the guy a few times after I did an interview with him and he is a genuine fellow who really does not pretend to be more then what he is...Very humble and underrated....IMO Mora wins a UD after a few shakey moments

    Fair enough.

Probably isn't so much of an arrogant dick off camera.

I still hope he gets KO'd.

I like him a lot as well, but I've soured on watching him fight a bit after his last couple of matches.

Thats understandable...Just when you get to know a guy you want him to win just because you know he is a decent bloke

I want Mora to look spectacular to make Mosley look less shot.

Mora did about as good without a trainer as guys in court do representing themselves....Brian Vera is just simply a fighter he'll win some and loose some.

Good point....Though IMO Mora gave the fight away...Too much clowning and shit...Smiling after being caught with a solid shot...Talking to the ESPN crew etc....More never looked like he wanted to win the fight though he did act like he would win ......Mora is a better fighter then Vera....This was a fight he should have taken more seriously due to nthe doubts on him already and how it will effect his future...

I think one aspect that also helped Vera, was his shots affected Mora. Mora's shot where like a mosquito to Vera, he only ever hurt him with body shots. Stepping back and acknowledging you just got hit good is never good to make your case. Mora had the cleaner shots, they just werent effective.
