Default Floyd "The reason I won't fight Pacquiao"

$50 Million reasons to fight Pacquiao and only one reason not to. He said it's "Useless" Nobody's going to love me anyway, so it's a no-wins situation.

Look it's his life. If he wants to ride into the sunset with his kids and his health and his money and a limited legacy? Good for him!

But he can't have it both ways.

True, but he's always going to be ranked below Pacman and will be rememered as the guy who was so skilled and was so scared of Manny Pacquio

I quit holding my breath a long time ago for a PAC-PBF fight, and I could care less what Mayweather's reason for not fighting Pac is, or if this fight ever happens. As far as i'm concerned Mayweather isn't relevant to boxing anymore.

This is exactly how I feel about the Mayweather right now.

I now couldn't care less if he fights Pacquiao or even if he fights again.

He's very boring these days & if he wants to be a celebrity boxer, just having the odd fight every couple of years against anyone but Manny, then he should just get on with doing that & stop boring fight fans with his waffle.

Not if he keeps beating PAC at beating like opponents first and PAC does not take the test and PAC keeps scheduling fights with aged opponents with sub 500 records in previous 1-3 fights, coming off a loss, fragile minds, catch weights , etc before the bout. Pac is beating worn fighters with known identities not peak skills. Just a matter if you are a PAC hugger or a PBF hugger. Kinda hope Ortiz manages to put away both and end all this pussy footing match making PBF an PAC have come to master ! Both will be remembered as the best of their time in a down period! PAC wil also be remembered as too scared to take a 50 million dollar test. Don't forget that as PBF is also scrutinized so is PAC they are tied at the hip. Two all time pussies whose egos were just a little too inflated. Not stuff of lengends by either one of them. Not all time greats in my books Just box office mega giants.

My thoughts on Floyd's testing demands:
1-If Floyd and his team had any evidence then I could possibly see it, but they have nothing but innuendo (but most of it doesn't make sense to me as Pac is only a few pounds bigger than when he fought and had to weigh in at 130)
2-It is a bit insulting to Pac. Alot of fans say they'd take the test. No shit-who among us wouldn't do almost anything for a huge payday. But Pac doesn't need to bow down to Floyd's demands.
3-When people make claims with no evidence it looks silly. Then to request that someone must do something out of the ordinary because of unfounded claims you have made, is a total joke.
4-It reminds me of Obama and the birth certificate. I didn't vote for the man, but damn he provided during the campaign the short form birth cerficate that is given out by the state of Hawaii if you ask for your birth certificate. And that certificate is accepted by the State Department. The Clinton campaign and the McCain campaign undoubtedly did their research. Yet some people claim he wasn't born in America. They cite no credible evidence. They just keep claiming he should have to show his long-form birth certificate. That is something that isn't requested of any other President. Eventually to shut them up, Obama has to issue it. I don't hear any apologies by the Birthers now. It is all to try to take away from the legitimacy of Obama (similar to Floyd trying anything to peck holes in Pac's legacy).
5-Testing has nothing to do with the fight. Floyd allegedly requested 100 million dollars in the last negotiations. This fight is worth alot to both fighters, but 100 million screams, "I don't want the fight so I'll start so high it isn't even worth negotiating."

this perspective is exactly what I am referring to as abusive and dangerous. This perspective of "we have to do what is best for one's safety" is dangerous precisely because once the STATE takes on that Big Brother role, there is no limit, the sky is the limit.

If there is even a 0.00000002% chance that that man over there in the airport is a terrorist, we must now accept that "better safe than sorry" bullshit, and the TSA gets to stick their hands down everyone's pants before boarding an airliner. All in your best interests. All for your safety. HEY WHY NOT REQUIRE CCTV CAMERAS IN EVERYBODY'S HOUSES, WON'T KIDS BE EVEN SAFER FROM ABUSIVE PARENTS

Floyd wouldn't even fight Miguel Cotto he damn sure won't fight Pac.

Floyd is great and all, but like I said he never unified a division and in his career he's sidestepped a few guys that could have given him a fight. Eventually he came back around and fought Shane and Oscar which is good but Pac has done the same thing now only more impressively.

I've just read this article from boxinginsider and my suspicion about Mayweather is confirmed. While Pac is CALLING him out.... he on the other hand is trying to make this as an impossible future fight.

Fighting Pacquiao in the eyes of PBF is a big risk because he feels like people wont give him credit for beating on a small man, as oppose to him a getting beat up by the smaller PAC whom people will think will be more impressive. He has a point but nonetheless if floyd beats PAC I'll give him full credit.

As a floyd fan or at least former fan, he isn't scared of fighting pac. He does, however, want to begged to do it... To be dragged out of his mansion my hordes of fans that will boost his ego and tell him he can do it. Then after he does it, he wants more glad handing and statues erected in his honor and keys to every city he lives in for the rest of his life and all this nonsense. He seems to forget that he turned his back on the fans with this "money" business before his fans turned their back on him waiting to come out of another temporary retirement to fight someone beat them and demonstrate his supremacy.
No one is saying he has to fight every 2 months, but when he does fight it proves little because the fight everyone wants keeps getting put to the side so he can throw money at the camera... talk crap from a webcam and try whatever else to draw attention to himself outside the ring for months or years. He makes exits just so he can make an entrance later and announce he's back and everyone can love him again. No one doubts the man's skill, just his intent. He does little to act like a serious fighter who is chasing glory the old fashioned way.
He's paid off his debt, has a house a family and disposable income. He's lost his reason to fight and wants what the other guy has. Adoration... Kind of hard to earn that when you're a talented but fickle primadonna with a big mouth that alienates fans with stuff like racist comments. He could have been happy being a fighter, but he wanted to be a personality... .
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Personally, I think that Floyd forgot with all his demands with the price of his purse is that we the the fans can only put up with just so much bullshit. Floyd, shit or get off the pot. It's one complaint after another and to read or listen to your crap puts a dent in my aspirin budget. I don't know what he plans to do but there are many other fighters that work their butts off and put what money they have where their mouth is.
