No way they can justify this as PPV.
I ALMOST booked tickets for this earlier today on the basis that Bellew was going to be fighting Clev. Thank fuck I didn't and plumped for the ppv instead.
Fighting Aleksy Kuziemsi instead.
Be interesting to see what Sky do with this...
Gutted mate Tony will be too might not get a shot like this again, that cunt Brehmers fault, was apparently getting paid 300k the tit.
Only in boxing this crap pisses me off. Proper gutted![]()
Fuck's sake. Why aren't they just doing the Bellew fight regardless? No way this should be PPV. Braehmer is such a knob.![]()
I bought my ticket mainly for the Groves V Degale fight but was looking forward to seeing how Cleverly would handle the step up, Bellew stepping in was a decent consolation although it was no world title fight the animosity between them made it very appealing.
This new change of opponent is pretty disappointing. I feel sorry for everyone staying home to watch it if it is PPV cant see how it can be justified a few years ago it would have surely been standard sky sports show.
I hope this opponent turns out to be a nightmare and makes a fight of it.
Come back itv always forgiven!!!!!
Britain and sky always fuck it up
clev had the option of fighting bellew at a catch weight and he chose not to
i would say if he asked every one of the fans what they would like to him to do i reckon they would say the bellew fight
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
I don't know if it was mandated that they had to fight for a title given the promotion, but I figure people would rather pay out to see Cleverly take on Bellew at 180 or something than some random European bloke who not even I've heard of & I'm a neek on this kind of shit. I probably won't pay for it now, might just head to sports cafe & watch it there
If they keep this fight as PPV it speaks volumes of what they think about Khan.
More realistically it speaks volumes on the preorders of the DeGale vs Groves fight.
Except in reality Sky appear to have scored a massive own goal there. Khan still managed to sell 60,000+ PPVs on a no-name station with less than a week of promotion, earning himself about £500k as opposed to the £150k Sky offered. So they've managed to alienate the biggest boxing star likely for the forseeable future (assuming Haye retires as promised) by treating him like shit. The only reason Warren won't get the same treatment is the sheer volume of fighters he's got.
