I saw that. Absolutely ridicilious and disgraceful to call Bobby Gunn the new bare knuckle champion in the same vain as John L. Sullivan.Says all you need to know about the uselessness and bs concerning "trinkets"

Gunn is no doubt a tough guy and a decent boxer, but he beat a guy who was 14-9 coming off 4 or 5 straight losses.
If these two had boxed no one would have cared, so instead they took off the gloves and suddenly its a circus.

Its not real bareknuckle though with those netted wraps so Sullivan remains that last true bareknuckle champ winning a 76 or 77 round fight depending on ones sources with Jake Kilrain. After that, Marquis of Queensberry kicked in.
