Make 5 million against Margarito, or make 1-2 million and get KTFO by Martinez? I think he made the right choice.

If Cotto wins then he will have to fight Martinez sooner or later.

No way. They'll keep it in house or he'll face Floyd.

Forgot about the incestuous relationship with Arum, it will be Bradley, Pac man etc

don't get why Cotto is being criticized for "hand picking" opponents when he's been fighting the best from the get go, everyone has been calling for the rematch and now they're getting it, his resume is more stacked with able names than other fighters who only get praise, Cotto doesn't have to go up to fight Martinez when he still has guys like Angulo, Kirkland, etc. at 154

No doubt about it. There is no problem at all if he faces Angulo or Kirkland. I also don't believe Cotto would ever move up, but I am sure Martinez would go to 154 for a Cotto fight in a heart beat.

I think Cotto is more likely to get knocked out by Margarito (again) than he is by Martinez just based on their styles.

Really can't see cotto moving up, he has opportunities where he is anyway. He has fought a lot of top guys had a very good career. I reckon he has made fights tough for himself at times so has a lot of mileage on the clock but he always gives his all. Loads of heart tough as nails and i reckon although he is very popular now as it is he wont get the respect he truly deserves until he calls it a day and people can look back and say 'where are the cottos nowadays'

So Cotto is basically saying he isnt interested in being the best he only wants to make money?! He sounds like Pac and Floyd. The business man mindset has overtaken the sportsman in him.

Part of me wants to see Marg finish what he started but then again I wouldnt mind seeing Cotto get revenge after the Mexican cheated in the 1st fight. Either way neither of these guys are going to go on and win any big fights.

They're all in it for the money. Name one figher who isn't.

Cotto has consistently fought elite competition, his resume is outstanding.
