Like he said, fighters dont quit easily.
Good luck anyway Roy.

Sad
"many people in the sport are wanting Roy to call it quits."
Add my voice to this one, because Roy is much that same as other people, and getting old happens to us all. If he keeps fighting, and the main problem is that he's looking so frequently vulnerable and taking beatings, then I suspect he may spend his twilight years needing frequent care because of the volume of damaging head shots he is taking.
True, but how can you stop them doing what they've always done?
ROy is seriously one of the last fighters who i expected to stick around for this long.. I always got the impression that he's a wise man who understands his body, just like Lennox, but i guess some things are hard to let go regardless of who you are. Given his cocky nature, i thought he'd never let himself be embarrassed at an old age but he really surprised me.. I hope he doesnt go to that holyfield route..
What seems obvious to an observer might not be obvious at all to the participant, and ultimately if RJJ really wants to go on fighting, unless he starts failing medicals then there is nothing people can do to stop him.
I just don't think its doing him or the sport any good at all.
Roy should fight cos it's his sport!! Idiots don't understand him if they keep telling him to quit! When r these thick people going to stop being selfish!! It's his life end of!
He has got to be broke to continue on fighting after getting knocked out in his last fight, it simply cannot be that he loves boxing or cannot do anything else or ego. Even he must have some pride about his legacy and the money needs outweigh those I guess.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
That first round KO Green put on him said all he needed to know about what he has left.... just hope he does not get hurt.
no one want to see another Ali Vs Holmes![]()

Well he is not even the worse one Holyfeild holds that title and being a big fan of his is hard sometimes. I honestly hope he pulls a win out and gets the trinket and leaves but win or lose think he keeps going.
