For some reason I think Tony Bellew has a good chance, he has bone crunching power and with proper training he could be a world champ. As much as I hate to say it Chunky Degale seems to have the skills even if he appears lazy at times.

Eubank jr also looked very impressive but its so early to say he certainly wont be the "next champ" but one to look out for.

On his twitter about a month ago he said end of January. It would be on a Tyson Fury undercard though and he doesnt have a fight scheduled yet so I dont know if its still on

Kell Brook may become champion some time in 2012 and Khan will get a belt hopefully at 147, then we can have Khan - Brook in 2013. That's if the world doesn't end this time next year.

Grzegorz Proksa is an adopted Brit but he's been living there (Surrey) a long time and his promoter is Matchroom. Solid odds he'll be world champion in 2012.

I think at all available Kell Brook or Ricky Burns look the best bet.
Would like to see Cleverly move on and capture more legitimate belts.

I would love to see Kevin Mitchell become the next champion but cant see it with all his problems at the mo,Kell Brook looks very exciting, plus i think Khan will get his titles back from Peterson in a rematch.

    khan and brook are certainties

i hope froch gets another chance because there are few in the sport that are more deserving

Anthony Crolla might get a chance against Burns, so might mitchell

James De Gale, George Groves? perhaps not quite ready but you never know later in the year

Jamie Mcdonnell?? Are we talking about the same Jamie Mcdonnell that got a gift decision against Ian Napa?? No chance...

Kell Brook is a dead cert to become champ.

    I hope Kevin Mitchell too.

McDonnel has improved alot since the Napa fight , if he win vs Bouziane then he will be very near to a WBC title shot , the champion is from Japan and hes not the best , if Frank Maloney can offer him good money and bring the fight to the UK then McDonnell has a great chance

It's not looking great for the UK at the moment. All our "world champions" have been found out and it turns out they were not actually the best in the world at their weight.

I'm sure we'll see a couple paper champions, but I'm struggling to see the next lineal champ.

    UK top 25:

    1 Amir Khan 601 26(18)-2(1)-0

    2 Carl Froch 554 28(20)-2-0

    3 Kell Brook 447 26(18)-0-0

    4 Tyson Fury 442 17(12)-0-0

    5 Ricky Burns 380 33(9)-2-0

    6 Nathan Cleverly 361 23(11)-0-0

    7 Matthew Macklin 350 28(19)-3(1)-0

    8 Martin Murray 332 23(10)-0-1

    9 Kevin Mitchell 325 32(24)-1(1)-0

    10 Ola Afolabi 309 18(8)-2-3
    2002

    11 Dereck Chisora 301 15(9)-2-0

    12 Ashley Theophane 299 31(9)-4-1

    13 Darren Barker 265 23(14)-1(

    14 Paul McCloskey 262 23(12)-1-0

    15 Ryan Rhodes 226 46(31)-5(3)-0

    16 George Groves 225 14(11)-0-0

    17 Matthew Hatton 224 42(16)-5(1)-2

    18 Colin Lynes 220 36(12)-9(4)-0

    19 Brian Magee 219 35(24)-4(2)-1

    20 Sam Sexton 214 14(6)-2(2)-0

    21 Enzo Maccarinelli 208 33(26)-5(5)-0

    22 Gavin Rees 207 35(16)-1(1)

    23 Tony Bellew 197 16(10)-1-0

    24 Lee Purdy 185 16(9)-3-1

    25 James DeGale 181 11(8)-1-0
