    Default Tea or Coffee?

Here in the U.S. the favorite hot breakfast beverage is Coffee, it started getting popular in part in America as rebellion of sorts to protest the British tax on Tea in the original 13 Colonies. I would imagine that Tea is still the major hot beverage served in the UK, but i've talked with quite a few Brits over the years who prefer Coffee over Tea.

I have a little daily ritual with my wife, we have 2 or 3 cups of Coffee or Tea together most mornings while eating breakfast. I like my Coffee/Tea with cream or a flavored creamer and a bit of sugar and/or artificial sweetener. It tastes great, and has the desired "laxative" effect.

Anyway, if any, what's your favorite hot beverage?

Definitely tea, with milk and a couple of sweeteners/sugars. Don't like coffee so tea's my only option really. Good option though. Just had one now infact.

Espresso, 4 shots, ice, skim milk, & sugar free vanilla syrup = My morning beverage of choice. Iced coffee is quality as well, but lacks that kick that espresso has....I could drink espresso all day.

I've yet to really get into hot tea....I will on occasion have a cappucino when it's very cold outside, but hot tea?? Hardly ever...maybe if I'm going to sleep or something, but it does nothing for me otherwise. The tea I drink is iced, sweetened, and with a healthy dose of lemon juice, THAT is how you do it...certainly the Tea purists will protest, but let them handle hot beverages in 100 degree heat with 95% humidity.

That's the thing. We have the climate for it over here. It's fucking freezing at the minute.

Indian tea with herbs and spices, cleans the system out and very healthy.

I drink Tea, 3 or 4 mornings a week because it has less or no caffeine in it, aside from English & Irish tea, I like some of the herbal type teas, vanilla chia, ginseng, and others, it's a great way to start the day, and i'm not as wired as I get when I drink too much coffee.

Yuk to both coffee and tea!!!

And coffee breath, ewwwww... major turnoff for me. It's up there with cig breath.

Give me a big cup of Godiva Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate with whip cream or marshmallows any day.

The thing is Diane, I brush my teeth and tongue really good after drinking coffee or tea, which I only drink first thing in the morning. So I don't go around the rest of the day with "coffee breath".

Godiva Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate with whip cream or marshmallows sounds delicious, but I doubt that i'd want that much sugar in my diet that early in the morning.

ONe of the finest chocolate maker in the world right from Belgium, Madame knows what good chocolate is.

Personally, I quite like green tea and a top notch cappuccino here and here, I really don,t need it every morning, it's more of a social pleasure so to speak.

for about a year an a half now, or perhaps a year and 7 months () I've quıte lıked to melt a good chunk of about 100 grams of unsweetened chocolate ınto my Armenıan coffee. It ıs quıte the ass-kıcker esp. early ın the mornıngs when you got less sleep the nıght b4 than you would have lıked.
