Default Bob Arums views on the 40,000 seater who is with him?

With all of the usual bullshit about the Pacquiao - Mayweather fight one has to think is Bob Arum doing the right thing in trying to delay the fight to late may so a 40,000 seater can be made for the superfight? Who agrees that this is the correct thing for the fight?

De La Hoya thinks that he is being too greedy and that they will sell out the MGM in two hours and they should bump up the prices for the fight because the 5th may date is available for Mayweather to take. Who agrees with De La Hoya?

Is charging more money for these seats fair though? or is Bob Arum doing the fair thing in making more seats for more people to view the fight live? This will no doubt get more revenue for both fighters.

What do you all feel about this situation??

I indirectly agree with Bob Arum because it gives the general public more chance of being at this fight

BUT don't ever think that Bob is doing this out of the goodness of his heart and that he's doing it for that reason. His fuel is one thing and one thing only :- $$$$$

This stadium excuse is total BS from Arum. The huge bulk of the $$ for this fight will come from PPV buys -- not gate sales. This is a red herring. And adding more crappy seats where people need binoculars to see isn't really a great boon to the fans either.

I hate to say it but I have to agree with Arum.

This will be the richest fight ever, and certainly the biggest in my lifetime. Not just for the $$$$ (the fighters and camps will earn enough money) but from a fan perspective and as many people as possible get to be able to see it live and 'be there'.

Ok not everyone who wants to go will be able to get a ticket , but an extra 25 - 30,000 will and I think that should be high on the list of priorities.

After all, unless I'm grossly mistaken, isn't it us, the fans who should be the priority in all such things

Also am I missing something but this stadium could be ready by the end of May so why can't Mayweather fight then. Its only three weeks later

It all depends on how much more money he can make from the extra gate sales and whether or not that outweighs the cost of speeding up the construction.

I'm pretty sure if you threw enough money at that stadium, you could get it finished 3 weeks earlier.

How much would it cost to build a stadium that fast to be ready in May and will the ticket sales really make it worth it after you do the math of stadium construction costs? I can imagine tickets for the MGM selling out in a blink of an eye regardless of prices being a bit more expensive for this mega fight.

Oscar is right and so is the guy that posted before me. Bump up the seating prices everyone is going to want a ticket. Everyone else can watch it on paperview and honestly who wouldn't order it? 😳
