Default Whitney Houston dead at 48...

    Whitney Houston -- Dead at 48 | TMZ.com

Wow... words can't describe. Sad story of a talented voice that eventually couldn't get off the drugs no matter how we as fans or her family could inspire her to get off of them. Sad sad sad day really. May she RIP.

Yeah, I've been watching the reporting on this on CNN. Sad News.

I'm not really into that kind of music, but there is no denying that she had a great voice.

    May she rest in place.

she was on drugs before she even hooked up with the 17 year old Bobby Brown. As sad as it is to say, Whitney had already started before she got with the guy.

And other young stars and actors and actresses should look at her as an example of great talent falling because of bad decisions. Hopefully they will learn from it. Sad story either way. Looking at Bobby since their break up, in shape, touring, been sober and drug free since then especially because of their daughter, and then looking at Whitney who was still going on her same path with everyone protecting her she never had someone that would tell her "stop" for a long enough time, and it's sad Record executives etc that let their clients still go down a path cause they make them money is despicable and I really hope that changes. Whitney is also an example of that.

People. Before we start making Whitney Houston jokes lets just remember that her body is not even cold yet. Sooo....you know....its still kind of okay....to.....you know.....for Brockton to do stuff to it.

While I don't dispute that, there was a HUGE, NOTICEABLE difference in her demeanor and appearance before Bobby Brown, and after Bobby Brown. Pre-Bobby Brown she was young-looking, perky, happy, and a superstar at her peak. Post-Bobby Brown I can still remember her on TV... looking all haggard and frazzled (drugged out)... slamming and lashing out at all who opposed her being with her man. It was truly sad and somewhat pathetic.

Bobby Brown is irrelevant. She used before and after. It is just that she chose to break the image by marrying him. Everyone blames him but I think it is nonsense. She chose to take those drugs.

The fall is incredibly sad though. She really couldn't reach the notes of those old songs anymore. It was someone who was a master of the craft, but had become somewhat senile and unable to do it anymore.

Time had been wasted and delusion made her think she could get away with it. She couldn't and she was over the hill and still young.

I am no fan of Houston, but I do respect her to a certain degree. She was grand and the world is far less without her.
