Default Felix Sturm represents everything thats wrong with boxing.

To anyone who's a fan of this guy, he represents everything that is wrong with boxing. When most boxers are too chicken shit to fight someone, atleast they attempt to make an appearance of wanting the fight but claim the other person is running, not this coward. Too afraid to come out of his country because he'd get waxed. Has every decision handed to him, and now his latest game. Running like a fat kid from a vegetable to get away from Golovkin. This guy was the MANDATORY challenger and Sturm goes and gets an "exemption' from having to fight him. And it wouldn't suprise me that if/when Golovkin does get him in the ring, the ref and the judges will be on the take in that fight. I hope Golovkin puts him through the ring if Sturm ever surgically removes his vagina and gets a set of balls so he can fight him.

Please thats just a crock. Sure Sturm has been milking the sport since he was robbed by Oscar so he could get the fight with Hopkins but to lay modern day boxing on the shoulders of this ink blot? I dont think so. Lets blame Sven Ottke instead or even Monzon for never leaving Argentina.

Of course not and truly daft.

Ottke never left Germany, but 12 of Monzon's last 19 fights were outside Argentina! Mostly in Monaco or France with one in the USA.

I agree with everything posted here except the whole sturm being scared thing. No fighter at this level of the sport is scared of any other fighter. A guy with enough balls to lace up for a four rounder has more courage than most of us. A guy scared of another at this level of the game is a myth cause no fighter with that in his blood would ever make it this far. Sturm, donaire, chris john zolt erdei and the like need to fight better opposition. But hard to shit on them when the so called best two in the sport set a effed up example by not fighting the best in each other. Sturm is no more of a punk than the rest in some ways

The OP didn't say Sturm was to blame for anything, just that he represents what is wrong with the sport. IamInuit's post laid out many of the problems, but Sturm is indeed a good example of them in action, imo.

He's not the same fighter that lost to golden boy, in Germany you will have to Ko him to beat him the thing is he is a Hero in Germany. Strum will never leave his country to fight why would he has a
very large fan base and makes plenty of money. The problem is the country not Strum the reefers are rubbish and the decisions are shocking always been the same over there.

I can think of plenty of worse people ruining boxing.

Most of them don't even wear gloves!
