I would guess testosterone or EPO, something like that will be the culprit here. And if that was the best he can produce even with drugs, stick a fork in him.

Ill tell you... They carry oxygen around the body and what do we use oxygen as? Energy!

The more oxygen fighters on epo can get around their body, the harder they can work and for longer. Check Mosley against De La Hoya (at least, probably lots more of his fights) in the rematch.
